Msn not working

i get the grey troubleshoot window whenever i try and sign into msn..
i am connected to the internet and my explorer works fine. i also uninstalled msn messenger and installed it again but still didnt help [same problem with windows messenger]
when i go to my wireless networks..theres no sign of my wireless router there but im still connected to the internet.
whats happened to my msn?

It maybe a MSN problem whats the error code?
Get the code and stick it in https://www.google.co.uk and that should bring back a result.0 -
You don't have MSN and Windows messenger running together do you?

erm i recently got my laptop repaired and windows re-installed..have had a bit of trouble with router because laptop is unable to detect router but only when i click repair..the internet starts to work0

What version of Messenger are you using, I would be inclined to use 7.0

Also you really do need to find out the disconnection woes as this may contribute to some of the MSN problems.
P.S Dont forget to re-enter Username Password and if using net passport re-register (sign in) that aswell by signing into https://accountservices.passport.net/ppnetworkhome.srf?vv=400&lc=2057 just signing in should help.
The passport site is dead slow at the mo. So may well be a MSN problem?0 -
just look up firewall seetings for your router and anti-virus package and then give msn the correct privileges. If this dosent work then you can always use http://webmessenger.msn.com this is similar to msn but you cant send webcam or files etc!0
