My sympathies to the OP and I hope you get a resolution soon.
There's a lesson for us all though, never, never sign a delivery note until you've actually taken delivery of your item. Most, reputable, delivery agents will hand over the package first before asking to sign their sheets.0 -
This is awful. I am so sorry it has happened to you.0

If you are registered blind... are you sure the TV isn't still out there?
Sorryyy0 -
Yes, I do see the funny side of things and thanks for making me laugh I have a package on my computer that reads.
The telly was for my daughter and no its not on the door step.
Dixons have been on and they said that someone will phone me tomorrow and prob. send me a form to fill in and sign. There is no way I am going to sign anything concerning Dixons. I had to go out and buy a telly for my daughter she has waited long enough over two weeks for them to deliver. I went to an independant retailer and walked out of the shop holding the telly.
They knew I was registered blind because I told them via. email because they kept saying that I have received to telly before which I hadnt. So, I told them that I needed assistance to sign. Yes, I know more fool me, but never again.0 -
please report it op , you dont want him to get away with it0

Should be fairly easy to solve the crime.
The driver that took your signature must be a Dixons driver, so they can just call him into the office and ask him where your telly is.
If he says he left it with you, then the police need to be involved.
it may possibly still be in the back of the van.“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -

Overwhelimingly agree - its a matter for the police. Report it asap, get back on to Dixons and they should investigate as a matter of course and identify who the driver is.
Ultimately though, whilst a theft is alleged to have taken place, the onus will be on you to prove the theft has occured. The police may not be too interested under the circumstances as there is no evidence that a theft has occurred (its not like a window has been broken or a door forced)0 -

Have you asked your neighbours if they saw a delivery van at the time the guy came to your door? Any cctv nearby?"It's official, MSE's harbouring total fruitcakes">^..^<0
