I previously told you about Dixons online when they said that they had delivered a TV and I did not recieve it and had to fill in a form and sign back to them.
Well,
Yesturday evening at 5:20pm a delivery man knocked on my door saying that he had my parcel of a telly. I live on a busy road and he said that he had parked on the side street.
He helped me sign the delivery note because I am registered blind. I thought the telly was next to him but, then he said he would get the parcel from the van and to wait unfortunately the telly did not get delivered and the van drove off.
I know really what I should of done and feel very stupid I have no proof that the telly was not delivered but, the company have proof that I signed for the telly.
As my gran always said "what goes around comes around" Phoned my credit card company and they said that with me signing for the item there is no proof that I didnt receive it.
So, I just want to say Buyers beware!!!
My money will be lost because I have to pay for the goods but how disgusting is that.

((((((((()))))))))))))) lots of hugs to u. Try going to the cops, they might be able to help u.0

Definitely ring the police. You've been robbed. If it's properly reported to the police, not only might they be able to link the case with similar cases and hopefully bring the perp to court, but also, Dixons Online should be able to claim under their insurance and send you a replacement.
A police report is essential for this.0 -
Ring the police immediately (the local number), and don't just settle for being out of pocket.
You need to stand up for your rights!
ps - just out of curiousity, what use is a tv to a blind person??Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Blind people can still hear ... or they may be partially blind! I find that I very rarely actually 'watch' my tv.
OP, definitely contact the police, it is likely that if the driver has done this to you, he has also done it to others.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Is that because of some much crap on or because you spend a lot of time on here/holidaysBlind people can still hear ... or they may be partially blind! I find that I very rarely actually 'watch' my tv.
.
You can say what's point in internet for a blind person but we all know there are ways to help blind or partial blind folks have a normal life
Hope Op gets her tv/money0 -

Another suggestion -- once you have reported it to the police and have a number for the report, you might want to ring your credit card company again. They should be more helpful to you. Explain to them that the police are looking into the theft and give them the number of the police report, so that they can confirm that you really have reported it to the police. They may reconsider and refund your money if Dixons Online refuses to refund or replace.0 -

Yes on both counts! TV is permanently on in the background, but I actively choose to watch maybe two progs a day. However I always seem to know what is going on in the soaps, without consciously watching any of them!Gone ... or have I?0 -
Often with credit cards, there is a 90 day period of insurance provided. Tell your credit card provider that you wish to claim on that. You will, of course, need a crime reference number.
I have to say that I am amazed by this. How did the guy know you had visual impairment? If he has done this before, how the heck does he get away with it???0 -

As they said they needed help signing a form, I had presumed their vision was very poor.
I usually "listen" to the tv, but have found more and more programs are using vision rather than sound (ok, namely Hollyoaks), so I keep having to look up to see what's going on, as listening is no longer sufficient.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
