i have a dilema!!!
I was talking to my hubby about the wedding towel cakes i am making and i said about the champagne / wine in the middle he however made a valid point that i cannot sell alcohol as i have no licence, how does everyone go about this?

i have never done one with alcohol hun so unsure but if it was me id put it in,its only like u buying a gift for a friend and giving them alcohol,maybe someone else can shed a bit more light on the subject xx0 -

I have sold quite a few with alcohol in them, and i didn't realise that you had to have a license. I thought that if you were selling them as a gift and not drinking them on the premises that that was alright, although I'm probably wrong.
I mainly do cakes for orders and most of them request alcohol. I do have a fair on the bank holiday weekend, which I will be thinking twice about making them up with a bottle.0 -

I have just googled this quickly and from what i can see you DO need a licence however if you say on your label that you get a FREE bottle of wine this is fine as you are not actually selling it.
I think i am going to contact the local licencing office and ask, this may be a good idea for you too.
