    Hi
I'm new to this thread and have only made 1 towel cake. I was in Asda today and they had white towel bales for £3. Can I ask if people use pins to secure the towels??

    Hi

Can any1 help please. I have made a towel cake but it doesn't look right, I have looked on UTube and am now even more confussed. Do you use 2xbath towels for the bottom tier, 2xhand towels for the middle then 2xface cloths for the top????? Also what sorts of things do you put in them?? Is it better to put high end products in or not??? Are you allowed to put in wine etc and sell this?? Sorry there are lots of questions but I want to get it right.

    Hi all,

I`ve been doing nappy cakes for awhile now, but would like to make a towel cake for a christening I have coming up (there boys of 3 & 8)...

Both love Ben 10, so was thinking of a Ben 10 themed cake. I also have had one of those lasered glass thingys made with there photo inside as a keepsake, which i`d like to encorporate in the cake.

Any ideas of what else to put in it?

Also does anyone know where I could get a big tube - like a toilet role but giant, to bulk out the middle of the cake???

    Thank u x

    Hi Liz

Here's a photo of the Ben 10 cake I did a while back:

I put some bath products in mine, plus a silver piggy bank, a book, and used a Ben 10 fleece for around the outside of it - thought they could use the fleece either on their bed, or take it with them in the car etc.

How about a tube from the inside of a kitchen roll, would that be better?

Fab cake Sally, I'm thinking of doing a similar one for my daughter when she goes in hospital next month. Thought I'd do Hello Kitty for her as that seems to be her phase of the moment!

Where is the best place to get cheap/good quality towels from. The asda towel bale I brought is not that good.

I actually like the asda individual towels. I looked at the bale today and thought they were a bit rough? maybe just me tho!

Kelly lou remember asda have a 100 day satisfaction guarantee on all of their george products which I am guessing towels would be classed as?
