It didn't come up with any options, I can't remember the message but it just indicated it was sorting itself out. Is there anything I need to go into to amend that?
I'm about a third of the way through the scan now.0 -
To change virtual memory settings
- Open Computer Management.
- In the console tree, right-click Computer Management (Local), and then select Properties.
- On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
- Under Virtual memory, click Change.
- In the Drive list, click the drive that contains the paging file you want to change.

Slow or Low ?? If it's low, you need to alter the VM settings to System Managed size.
Computer - Control Panel - System - Advanced - Performance - Advanced - VM (for XP)......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

Have done that GunJack.
Have just noticed that I can press pause and restart the CureIt programme and the buttons change coluor as if it's accepting the command, and the timer is still ticking away on the statistics page, and yet nothing else is moving. Which would indicate that it IS responding, it's just not moving from the file it was in the middle of checking.
I'm not sure whether to close it down and restart it or if there's somethnig I can do to jig it along. I'll await your advices before I start fiddling0 -
Leave well alone !! Some files will take longer than others to scan, and this is quite typical behaviour for some scanners......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
