Get CCLeaner from Filehippo and run this on a regular basis, stops old temp files/recycle bin etc. overflowing :)

Can you now run MBAM's full scan ??

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

I do use CCleaner regularly, and keep it updated. Also do the registry fix stuff too, and defrag a lot. But my pc has bene getting slower lately.

Have tried the MBAM full scan but it stuck again - 25 minutes in on something completely different now (to do with combifix). Would you suggest I try again? Says not responding.

Remove combofix by following this ~
    http://www.myantispyware.com/2008/03/26/how-to-uninstall-combofix/

    Download DR WEB
    http://www.freedrweb.com/download+cureit/
It will auto scan. After its run set it to scan the WHOLE computer (You need to press the 'play' icon for it to run)

id really suggest you run another FULL scan with malwarebytes though

    Great advice.
It took just over an hour, very thorough: found and removed LOADs of stuff.
    Thanks again aliEnRIK. :T

Id suggest you open malwarebytes, goto LOGS and post the log it created

You may require some more programs to run yet (Id recommend you start a new thread too)

Just a quick update - I'm running Dr Web's CureIt, have done an express scan which came up ok apart from a message about email Host being changed back to default (it said it detected a change from default which may indicate a problem), and I got part way through a complete scan when it said it found a trojan in spybot - I managed to delete that off, but then the pc crashed and when I restarted CureIt the info on the trojan had disappeared and I've started again from scratch.

I'm running a complete scan again this morning hoping it will go all the way through, but it is incredibly slow and says windows virtual memory is slow.

    Will keep you posted!

    Thanks again
