    Afternoon everyone!!

How much has the temperature dropped in the last few days??? I'm sat at my desk in my coat and my toes are like ice!:snow_laug

Unfortunately no osing for me so far today, I could barley drag myself out of bed this morning after college last night, we attempted our first mock exam paper and it was alot harder than expected as for the first time we get a blank answer booklet, no tables or clues to lead the way. I've applied for a new position at work that would allow me to go onto studying CIMA with the company supporting me financially so my fingers are firmly crossed:rolleyes:

TapLady - I hope your son finds a job somewhere soon that will value the hard work he puts in!

Diva - Glad your voice is returning, how are those lovely cards coming along?

Mummysaver - sounds like your going to have a busy busy few days!!!

Peyton - Hope your other halfs job sorts itself out, my hubby is a full time firefighter and when he left is old job they asked him to work 8 days a month going forward as they didn't want to lose him. Last month he called to get his hours and was told there are none! he's now applying for all jobs under the sun and keeping his fingers crossed as it's £400 less a month which is our debt repyment money. We'll keep our fingers crossed for you that things get better x

Well Lunchtime is almost over so must go, hope you all have a fruitful os day!

    Big Hugs

    Hi Again,
Taplady - I feel for you as regards your son. my eldest DS has ADHD and dyslexia and is in trouble at work for losing attention and making a genuine mistake. I feel for him as I know he cant help it but there is a manager is out to get him. We still waiting to see if he still has a job they just moved his appointment to Friday. i shall write a stongly worded letter if he has as i think its discrimination.

Im just back from Farm Shop. It was nice to get out but the prices:eek: So expensive. I had a voucher and reckon that was the difference between what I spent and what it cost in a supermarket. I wont be able to afford to go back.
Welcome ThyKingdomCome - I love it here and find it very supportive.
    Love Molly
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Good day all...

Haven't had time to post today til now. Had a busy day with my cleaning and dog walking jobs..all the while feel like crap! I missed my bus (don't ya just love when it's EARLY!) so had to wait 30 mins almost in the chilly/windy morning ;( I had some stale crackers in my purse so i sat there feeding birds heh atleast I wasn't totaly bored.
On the brighter side...we leave for Dublin tomorrow :T so some shopping therapy and sightseeing should help ease me hehe.
Hubby is working overtime so it's just me for din din tonight...just keeping it simple with some min. noodles.

Diva and Sunnyday..thank you. I'm doing ok. Hanging in there.

celyn90...thanks. Bikes are heavy but they do/can bring alot of good too. Hip doesn't hurt so much at the moment but woke up to my "monthly friend" and painful cramps so guess my body doesn't know where to focus the pain on today lol. Hmm perhaps that was too much info..ahh well hehe.

    Have a nice day/evening all.
:D *If you like the advice I give...let me know by clicking the THANKS button* :D

    Afternoon all,

Sorry am completely wiped out, following another hectic day at work so although I have just read all the thread I can't remember who's bit of news belongs to who so just ((((Hugs)))) to all and well done to those who it applies to. Do remember Spike though - way to go Spike - think you should post a pic of him in action Bargainbird!

We have been manic again at work today, another flu clinic on top of normal surgeries and although I am def "back-room" (I do all finance for the surgery) it is all hands on deck at the moment. Then it was all over the news about swine flu injections, so we have had the world and his dog ringing up to see when they have them and if they have had a usual flu injection do they need the new one! We haven't got them yet contrary to tv news but some of our patients seem to think we are "keeping them for ourselves":rotfl:

Welcome Thykingdomcome - you will like it here, everyone is very helpful and friendly.

OS about to start now I am home from work, although I called in Morrisons on the way home and picked up some good whoopsies, so really I have already started!:D Wm on, bm will go on when I can drag myself away from the computer and my coffee. Need to tidy round and do floors, OH is working late today so I have a couple of hours yet before they are in. Some form of pasta, probably with a cheese sauce and bacon (as I have both in fridge that need using up) for tea.

    Right must make a start.

Went shopping didn't do too bad stuck to my list ;) apart from a jar of nutella fell in, your fault bitsy :naughty:

Oi don't blame me.....I don't recall twisting your arm to put it in the trolley ;)

I must confess I do like nutella nuked in the micro til warm and runny and eaten with a spoon

Well done Spike on crawling. DD was a bum shuffler so consequently everything she had has been left with grubby shuffle marks that I can't shift. Most of her clothes are too good to throw away but due to the marks I don't think any charity shop would like them. Says how clean my floors are :o

    evening!

thanks to you all for your kind thoughts re my DS, I agree with you Snoozer as I am a big believer in fate. Its just so hard to see them feeling low.

    welcome to thykingdomcome:hello:
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Thank you for the lovely welcome. I knew this place would be for me.

I have done my meal plan for next week when i get my next lot of housekeeping (payday 24th of month) and written my shopping list for when i go on saturday. i tried pricing it out in advance online at tesco.com (although i shop at morissons) and it just gave me square eyes, and I couldn't do a real like-for-like comparison, so I might use the calculator on my phone as I go round, so I don't go overboard.

I usually enough left at the end of the month to pay for little treats, like dvd rental or a coffee out. I have just discovered the dvd rental at my local library. They have all the latest titles for £1.50 (3 days rental for new films, a week for older ones), much cheaper than Blockbuster and good for 'date nights' in with the other half!

Welcome to ThyKingdomCome :) Just popped back in (again) to have a read while hubs watches the F1 we recorded. The world is returning to normal, and thankfully the floor no longer feels like it is moving!

Tea was a lovely Thai Prawn Curry, for which dear hubs thanked me - that was nice :) I've got my mealplan done for a couple of weeks, and have planned a lovely big chilli con carne for tomorrow night that'll see us for another meal next week too. I've taken a quarter of a homemade coconut cake from the freezer and we'll feast on that in a little while :D

What else? I've done a bit of sewing and watched TV - can't actually say it has been overly productive, but it has been a nice quiet day. Hope everyone has a lovely evening.

Celyn...your cakes always look lovely, not sure if clumsiness or lack of patience is my problem, making the cake I find easy but decoration is left to DD4.

Oh I create a lot of wreakage along the way :) I just don't post those pics :D You should have seen what I did to the chocolate brownies last week; I had to soak the pan in the bath for two days - I've seen less effective arc welding:rotfl::rotfl:
