I need to do a factory restore. I have saved to memory stick my photo's, documents, set up programs etc. Is there anything else I need to back up?
Failing hard drive, how do I find out which replacement hard drive I can put into my laptop?

depending on age of laptop, any 2.5in hard drive will work, you just have to take it out and look at the connection, it will either be 1 of 2 types. The new type SATA which will look like a L or IDE 2.5in, which is a long 44pin connection 2 rows of 22 pins.0

Do you need RAM (which is what you linked to) or a new hard disk drive!
If you use Outlook your mail may be stored in a location you haven't backed up yet.
Do you know the installation keys for your operating system and programmes? If not, a magic key finder will help but only work before you wipe it!0 -

I have a failing hard drive which I need to replace. I also want to upgrade the ram.
Where do I look for a new hard drive?
I have to make a restore disk as at present a restore partition on the laptop. I don't have a dvd-r at the moment.
By installation keys do you mean the windows key and Microsoft office etc?
