I will be making the recovery disc from my laptop. The hard drive is failing and I am looking to replace it. With help from you guys.:D
I have organized my files for pictures, documents and music etc ready for transferring to an external hard drive. Is there a way I can transfer my bookmarks/favourites to a file ?
Is there anything else I need to think about transferring to either hard drive or dvd?

I use a program called MozBackup. It backs up your history, your saved passwords and cached auto-complete entries. You can also use it to back up your emails if you use Mozilla Thunderbird. Very handy tool to have installed

'Favorites' for IE are stored in the following locations:
- C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Favorites (Windows XP)
- C:\Users\<username>\Favorites (Windows Vista)

Maybe worth downloading xmarks which was formerly foxmarks and saving all your bookmarks with them - it works with firefox and ie and its free - once you have relaunched your pc you can the restore all of your bookmarks again - it is also useful if you have more than one pc you need the bookmarks for
