Idiot Surveyor has cost me my sale

I am furious. My buyers have pulled out today because the survey says evidence of active woodworm and woodboring insects in my property (its 200 years old). When the surveyor did the survey I showed him the guarantee against the above and also pointed out that I used to be a woodworm /damp surveyor and there is no active…

Interesting that - the 'idiot' surveyor went through every single one of my kitchen cupboards (kitchen is less than 2 years old). He also took the trim off the bottom of the shower cubicle and had a nosey under there (new bathroom less than 2 years ago).

The most frustrating thing is I asked him what the verdict was before he went and said all fine and wished me luck with my sale!!
