Hi does anyone know what I need to do I recieved a parking ticket this morning via post for £75.00 after I parked on a retail park at night from 18.15pm till 23.37pm I arranged to meet my friend and I just went out in her car to another friends house. It was fairly dark when I parked on the retail park and didnt see the signs and obviously there was no pay and display machines on the park. Its only now when I have got the letter that I have realised it must be operated by cctv. I have read up on this on the site and not sure if I need to reply to the letter today to refuse to pay or just wait and ignore the letter and then if I get a follow up up letter to do it then I am worried thoughas it says if I don not pay it ,it will double in 28 days it says I have to make the cheque payable to Civil Enforcement Ltd , please help as I can not afford to pay the ticket

As posted to you in the other thread you have posted in, this is what to expect. They will write some more threatening letters including the threat they "may" register the debt in the county court!
Expect them, but ignore them!0 -
They cannot affect your credit rating until:
You refuse to pay.
They take you to court.
The judge orders you to pay.
You do not.
You get a CCJ.
Seeing at which point you'd be looking to pay it? Good.
Until then. Ignore.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

Ignore it. They never pursue them, because the tickets are unenforceable.0

Second letter from Civil Enforcement Ltd claiming that they are unable to cancel this enforcement notice. Also as a registered keeper I am responsible for this matter and I should recover the cost from who ever I authorised to drive the vehicle or provide them with the drivers name and address.
It goes on to quote a ruling in "Combined Parking Solutions v Stephen James Thomas (2008)". Which after a bit of searching seems like their standard threat.
Needless to say, I'll ignore and put on file. :santa2:0
