Is this a scam?

Hello forum. I want to buy a new Iphone and I came across this company on a search engine (Bizrate UK). its called andomobile. I am not allowed to post with a link but if you google the name the site pops up. I have tried to find info on them through UK Companies house registration checker but I can't find anything. I am also surprised that given their very low prices a google search or sites like MSE has no major info on them. Wary about parting with any money therefore I wanted to bring this to the attention of this sub-forum for advice or comments. They have been in touch with me by email trying a hardsell but surprisingly their listed contact number seems to be permanently engaged. Please help.

without knowing any of the details - haven't you just answered your own question? if you are suspicious you should pass on it
with orange shortly to be offering iphones when o2 exclusive ends, I should think that you would be better waiting anywayI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

If you don't trust them, if you have any doubt. Don't do it. Money saving tip oneAlthough no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Hi just thought i'd add my two pence here. I also thought about giving this website a tester and thought that seein as it has the paypal logo I would atleast have some protection, so I put in a order for a phone that was 75 but the site didn't take me to a payment section during the order. I emailed them and recieved a replay that said this"Hello Henry,
You can purchase a minimum of 3 pcs. The total price for 3 LG KP500 Cookie
is 225.00 GBP. I would strongly recommend purchasing the 10 units offer we
have for 650.00 GBP as the price is much lower and has delivery included.
You can make the payment by money gram. As soon as the payment is
confirmed the delivery is carried out by UPS and usually arrives in 2-3
days. A faster delivery time is possible next day but it will cost an
additional 35 GBP. Looking forward to your reply.

I'm not saying it is a scam but it most certainly is suspect. I for one would love to buy 15 iphones of them for that price but I for one think it's too good to be true0 -

I don't think you have any protection if you make any payment by Moneygram. If phones not delivered you have no leg to stand on...beware!0 -

Where is the State of Durham?
Another American site pretending it is in the UK?

Sorry, but this screams scam to me, especially as they recommend payment by Moneygram. You'll get nothing in return for your money and will have no protection via Moneygram. Do as Ronald208 says.Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0

It's in Delaware. Lots of US companies are registered in Delaware as the taxes are lower there and the regulation minimal, doesn't mean the company actually is based there-it's just a legal requirement to maintain a mailing address there. Could be anywhere. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

A quick check on the Companies House database shows no such company exists.
Companies House only list Ltd and PLC companies, so if the business is a sole trader or partnership it will not show up. It doesn't mean they are not genuine.
Having said that, if you are suspicious, then it might be better to buy from somewhere you trust, especially on that kind of item.0
