Davesnave - that Welsh cottage accessed by the bridge was very similar to one that was on Homes Under the Hammer a few years ago. I wonder if it's the same one0

Not sure as HUTH is not my usual viewing fare, but it wouldn't surprise me. It has been with some of the 'posher' agents in the past, like Profile Homes, and it seems to have been kicking around for 3 years or so. I last clocked it at £355k in the summer.
FWIW we lost interest when we realised the woodland had been sold off, so we never viewed. We also felt a house with no downstairs bog at £425k was also a bit of a joke.0 -
Here's an odd one I spotted. Don't get excited about the price, it's a 1/4 share!

I've never seen estate agents' particulars containing a blueprint as a floorplan like that. It's not easy to follow, is it?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Oh,I don't know, it seemed easy enough for me to understand.:p
For example, that circular thing around the chair in the middle of the living room = enough room (just) to swing a cat. The arcs show clearly where you let the cat go and the variety of trajectories it can take. You can do much the same in the kitchen.
You can also see a rectangular shape in the living room, which is the place where that excessively uncomfortable, leaky li-lo bed goes when MIL comes to stay. Yes, you could make one of those sofas a fold-out bed, but no, I wouldn't either....;)
The stair-treads are conveniently numbered (with luminous paint), presumably because the house is in Greenock and Mr Shipyardworker will need to get upstairs in the dark after a few bevvies, without waking his good woman. It is though a matter of conjecture whether he would remember there are 12, or if he could negotiate the 180 degree turn at the top in order to throw-up in the loo. In my opinion, practicality would be improved considerably by swapping the positions of the bathroom and bedroom 2.
There is one aspect of the house I don't get though, and that is how one is supposed to get 6 people around a table that is not much larger than a sink unit.......Oh, hang on, I get that now too. Of course, how silly of me; families don't actually do that now, do they?:D0 -

Something to look back on & will update as they occur. Houses that are a bit orrible and seemingly overpriced...Or underpriced...
A bit of a gem to start.. For a measly £80,000 reduced from £89,950 on the 17th of August you could have this mini prison. Just look at its best feature, high prison walls around the back to stop anybody escaping.
All them average earners in the surrounding areas of Stockport will be eagar to find the 20k or so deposit by robbing a bank or winning a lucky 7 in William Hills to gain access to the affluent area of Wilmslow!

Factory workers need not apply. This repo is a bit of a jump to far for you. Go try a 1 bed flat in Moss Side. Thankyou.
Reduced today: '£80,000' to '£74,950'

I've said since end of 2007 that prices need to drop by 40%, but looking at some of these, especially the one in Sale 50% is more realistic.0

That radiator in the OP is just like the one we removed from a friend's ex LA flat. The bath looks identical too.
That converted garage thing, I saw that on Rightmove a few days ago.Happy chappy0 -
