Does anyone know if this is also valid for home delivery - I usually have one item that is off and not past its sell by date?

I only found about this Asda price promise recently after reading about it here, i never realised it was suppose to be £2, twice lately i've been given a card for £1, but only after asking for it.
That's in the Asda in Huyton.

  • I had this last year over a misprice.Asked about the giftcard and it was like she'd been asked a question on 'Millionaire',totally bewildered.
Sent an email to Asda, more of a way of finding out if they still did it.Had no reply to my email, but received a letter with a £2 giftcard saying that yes,it was still store policy.
I now keep the letter in the car (just incase i need it  ) ,but haven't as yet.
There must be some 'issue' about giving them out (maybe management like to keep the numbers down?),because they do seem reluctant and sometimes like an after-thought .I did have to ask once, and got a 'yes,i was just about to do it'.mmmm, really?

thanks guys for this I never knew they gave a £2 gift card was over charged on bottles of cider 3wks ago never got 1 and was just checking my reciept on goods i got today that my other half paid for and noticed he was charged £10 instead of £7 for a book so il be going back tomorrow to see mr asda:beer:
  • I was overcharged on some sugar the other day, the offer was 90p each or two for £1.50. But the two for bit didn't happen. I was also charged £1.09 on Asdas own kitchen roll that had big signs all over it saying it was £1.00.

So when I went to CS, she said she could give me a gift card for the "two for" offer, but not for the overprice. Very odd. I didn't question it though as a refund of the difference and £2 seemed ok with me.

I've just done a shop at my local asda. One of the items I bought was reduced, but it went through the till at full price. I had to go to CS for a refund. However, I was refused a £2 giftcard when I asked for it! I've never had a problem getting one before, although sometimes you have to remind them about their own OC policy.

When I questioned why I wasn't getting a £2 gift card on this occasion, the SA said the poilcy had changed and they were no longer giving out the gift cards. Apparently, their staff make too many mistakes with scanning reduced items incorrectly. Then, another member of staff told me the policy still exists, but only on SEL errors! I asked to see a copy of their policy, but of course they couldn't produce one! So, I asked to speak to the manager. I waited a while. Then, I was told the manager was busy, but he said on this occasion, I could have the gift card as a good will gesture.

Has anyone got a copy of their policy? as I still don't know who is right. The first SA or the 2nd one! TIA :)

I was nearly over charged £400 on my shopping but the the lady behind the till noticed.
When I saw £420 on the till I thought it was the previous persons bill. Not mine.
It was quite obvious it was a bit pricey for what I had.
I was over charge on a knocked down item that was meant to be 20p but was £390 instead.
  • I was overcharged today at Asda, brought a garlic press on offer for a £1 scanned at £2.
Went to customer services, she refunded the £1 and gave me a £2.00 gift card without me having to ask.Lovely.:j
