I've had my mums which is still almost new, bought just a few months back. It's a flat screen, silver one, really nice. She used to have it in the kitchen but couldn't get a good signal there, but it works perfectly in my room :T. Will give her some money towards a new one, say £40 or so, which is a bargain.0 -
Wow Babes, £40 is much better than £200. Plus you can always save for a new one if you want one on the future. It saves it then being sat on your Very account. How are you doing with daily spending?

Hey there!
Just wanted to say grats on getting things under control now. Much better to do it sooner rather than later, believe me!
Just wondered if you had looked at ways of cutting back on your clothes spend each month? 150 is quite high. I know you are benefitting from living with the folks and therefore cheap rent, but this is a great time for you to start saving for a deposit on a place of your own
I wish I had done so instead of racking up even more debt!
You could try the charity shops for bargains, or invite similar sized friends to swap clothes etc. That way, you'd each get a fresh wardrobe for free!
And just think, if you cut clothes shopping down to 50pm, you can save an additional 100 pm and then, when your debt is cleared, you could save even more! Before you know it, you'll have a nice tidy little fund to get you started

My mum only bought it around two months ago so it's as new and an up-to-date one, so shouldn't need one for a while. My daily spending is okay, i'm not scrimping as such, still enjoying my little treats etc, i'm just not letting it get too out of hand. How are you doing hun?euronorris wrote: »Hey there!

Hello euro, thanks for your comment. I understand what you mean, but i enjoy buying clothes and i have cut down dramatically. £150 was just an approximate figure, it isn't like that every month, sometimes it can just be £50, it varies.
Hopefully i can clear the debt at the end of December's payday then concentrate more on the savings.0 -
Hello everyone just thought i'd do a little update, so my debt as now stands as:
