Thank you sweetie. I've started saving my silver coins again too, surprising how they add up isn't it, might start on the £2 coins too and when they're full can cash them into my ISA.
I get paid next Friday too so hoping to pay a couple of hundred off my debt.0 -

:rotfl: We must be twins, while on holiday I decided to buy one of those sealed tins. My aim is to save for my holiday in May through the next 6 months. I am going to be putting £1/£2/50p in there as and when and see how much I can save. Hopefully I can pay for teh holiday and have savings ready so as not to dip into my main' wages.
We are both going back to basics together I think, I guess having friends around going through the same things help keep your motivation topped up. We will do this Babes :beer:0 -

Me too but my 1p's/2p's/5'ps are in a seperate pig. I then raid him if I need change for works tea/coffee machine. I must get him changed up and converted into £1's for my new pot thinking about it :j0 -
My copper is in a jam jar, £2 coins in a beetle money bank my friend brought me last Christmas and 5ps in a Absolut vodka bottle which I really want to fill before I cash them in as it always used to get raided by my ex and I used to get annoyed. :rotfl:Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0

:rotfl: Its funny how we have our own little ways of collecting 'cooper' isnt it. I have/had a fair few money banks over the years but I always have used the same pig for my coppers. Strange what this money saving lark turns you into :rolleyes:0 -
Yeah I am not going to cash in that bottle until its full now even if it takes me years!

I had a terramundi but hated smashing it, might ask for one for xmas though. Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
I still have my large pink pig money box from Clintons, it's fab!! Where do you both cash them in when they're full? Previously i've cashed mine in at the local pub which my dad had taken for me although it really depends on how much i save, if it's a couple of hundred then perhaps it's best to take to the bank. What's the banks policy for exchanging change, does it have to be bagged up in a specific amount?0
