AA cashback declined!-- Quidco

    My £40 AA cashback has finally gone to "received" after 5 months. A few days ago, my OH's Co-op Car Insurance went to validated, again after 5 months sitting at tracked status.

    Whilst this is good, I can't help but think that there is a connection between the slow payment issue for the AA and Co-op Insurance being highlighted in this forum and these transactions all of a sudden progressing further through the process!

    I have ticketed Jules at quidco re the meeting .

    I have said that we are still awaiting a letter back from the affiliates , they said it was posted last week so i have asked them to fax it to me or email it.

    One interesting point i have asked about tracking so please bear with me while i try to explain.


    We have just a eg . Mrs Broke who sees a cash back offer at the largest cash back going say QUIDCO she clears her cookies etc and buys the insurance with say £ 70 cashback , She sits back and waits the times say 6 months , No payment comes she opens several tickets and final told sorry not tracked to Quidco , she tickets back but Quidco stand firm and say the affiliates have tracked this to maybe another cashback company but will not say who. So Mrs Broke down by £ 70 and very upset.

    Now the £ 70 been paid by the affiliates to another cashback company lets just make a name up say THE TOLLS cashback company. So the Troll cashback company got the £ 70 and do not pass it on because in effect they have no customer to pass it on to. So what happens to the £70. Maybe it goes in to a suspend account or just extra profit for the Trolls cashback company. Who Knows.

    So if it works that way , it must work the revers with Quidco getting paid out for a customers of the Trolls with no end customer to forward it on to. Or do the send it back to the affiates and says this s not our custome ?????

    If quidco are the largest Cashback companiy then it should really even its self out over a period of time .

    Or are we saying the Tracking only works againsts Quidco ???????

    why wait 6 months? the tracking indication is quicker than that, if it doesnt appear, where does it say you have to wait 6 months before raising a tracking issue.

    If I make a purchase and it hasn't appeared as "tracked" within the indicated time, (normally shown as "Tracking Speed") , I raise a ticket straight away even if it only brings a response like "it can take up to 30 days in certain circumstances to track".

    At least I have drawn it to someones attention and I have a record of it at the time...expecting someone to investigate a tracking issue (with over 4 million transactions a year) is like looking for a needle in a haystack. You really need to be a bit more pro-active in your approach after all its in YOUR interest.

  • Same problem with AA, initally declined in Sept, raised a ticket and responce today states that it was declined due to "competing cookies" dispite taking all the advice of clearing cookies etc.

    States that they can not reinvestigated as payment has been made somewhere else? Who is getting this payments?

    Unsure what to do?
