I'm mostly a buyer on ebay. I find sellers generally leave feedback after I have. I think I must be the only buyer who finds it strange when they leave feedback as soon as I've paid, what if I turn out to be the buyer from hell? I know buyers can't leave a neg, but if I was a seller and I'd left a positive for a buyer who turned out to be horrific, I'd be more annoyed with that, than I would be if said buyer left me a neg.
When you buy something from ebay, feedback is optional, payment isn't. I don't get why buyers expect a virtual pat on the back for actually paying for the item they just took it upon themselves to buy.Sigless0 -
We use seller manager pro, that is set up to leave the buyer feedback when they have themselves left feedback. So if that is how Ebay want it, it must be right.

Thanks for all your replies, I posted the item yesterday so will wait and see if he contacts me again. Like most people on here I always leave feedback once I know they are happy and the item has been received. If he hadnt been so bolshi demanding feedback and wanting to cancel the transaction I may done it. I am pretty sure my 100% is going to go over the next few days but am not overly concerned as I know I have done everything I am expected to do0

I agree with this. I'm predominantly a buyer, and I see it as the buyer who gives feedback first i.e. when you've received the item and are satisified with it.
After I've left feedback, I find most sellers then leave feedback.
Just because someone's paid quickly doesn't make them worthy of a positive; they could turn into a nightmare!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Its Feedback who cares its a mark in cyberspace a pretty little dot. Feedback for buyers is a waste of time it really doesn't matter when you leave it. It effects no disputes. There are far more important things than worrying about when to leave feedback.
Some sellers leave it after buyers and some leave once the item is paid so what it really doesn't matter.0 -
My view is that there are always going to be dodgey ebay buyers out there. If they have a go at you my advice is bite back!!
My brother is a regular ebay user (when I say regular I mean every day lol) and he has had SO many problems with stupid ebayers thinking they can scam him all the time! In those cases you've just got to try and stay street wise and just record any actions you do so if they do try to dispute you've got proof that you have done everything legitimately hence ensuring your positive record and worsening that of the ebayer trying to scam you!0 -
Hi all, sorry to bump this thread again. I have received neg feeback because of this, the comment he left was " Ignorant.Needs to learn how to use E-bay. I paid immediately and got no f/back " I have left a follow up comment saying neg received as I did not leave them the instant (optional) feedback they demanded. Is there any way of getting this removed? I have had a look & the rules are not very clear to me.
Many thanks0
