Tesco Shopper? An easy way to double the Clubcard points you earn

Forgive my thickness, but when you use the CC plus to pay for shopping in Tesco, do you still present the old vanilla CC? Does that mean that for say £100.00 of shopping you would get 200 points on the CCplus and also 100 on the old card ?
Still a better deal than the new credit card, which I'll use for purchases outside Tesco.0 -
SO is this actually a bank account then? Can you use the card in cashpoints etc? Can you set up direct debits from two seperate accounts (say if you and your OH have seperate finances but do the shopping jointly)"People who "do things" exceed my endurance,

I am hopeless at maths !!!
Again. I do another very similar scheme BUT!!!!
I pay for my Tesco groceries with my Morgan Stanley Credit Card (1% Cash Back). Collect the Tesco clubcard points on my Tesco Credit Card. And Transfer the cost of the shopping from my current account into my ING account until i need to pay of said Morgan Stanley credit card in full. It makes me feel very happy about it anyway>>0 -

It doesn't make a difference - by swiping your clubcard first the points earned instore go to that account and you get the 1 point per £2 on your credit card clubcard account. If you *only* swiped the credit card, all the points go to the credit card clubcard account (it will be the same total number of points).
The only advantage to having them separate is that you'll get two lots of bonus point coupons each quarter. But to be honest, it's a lot less hassle to have them linked!0 -

It's probably closer to a savings account than a current account, though as has been stated before you can go overdrawn (and it's not expensive to do so).
I think (though I've never tried) that you could draw money from a Tesco Personal Finance ATM, but not any others. You can get cashback at the till.
There's no reason why you couldn't have more than one standing order going in (from different accounts), and you can send in a cheque any time, top up at customer services or online. You can also see all your transactions online.0 -
Can I just check. Would I be better using my old Tesco Club card for points and payng with my Tesco Ccard rather than just using my CCard?

Can anyone who uses clubcard plus tell me if they get a lot of extra points coupons through the till?
I get quite a lot and put together with the ones I receive with my clubcard vouchers and those I get for being in the healthy living and food clubs, I've worked out that on my last statement, I got more than double the points I should have done for what I spent anyway.
Approx 3 month tesco spend = £600; points earnt in store for last quarter = 1389.
I am thinking about getting the clubcard plus and crediting at CS as I have to work with cash but I don't want to bother if it means I lose my extra points coupons which I get at the till. And they come up for items i actually buy as well on a regular basis.
Any advice appreciated,
Thanks,
Ayesha0 -
You do get the till extra points coupons as well...
I've had a clubcard plus account from the beginning. It used to be the case that only CC+ accounts got 4x the value of the points on deals, I was disappointed when they opened up the 'x4 value' to 'regular' punters but didn't give clubcard plus account holders any additional benefits. Still the rest of you benefited, didn't you?!laurmurph0
