New Baby gift £10??

Hello, My neighbour is having a baby very soon. We'd like to get her something - say around £10ish? Not sure what to get, we don't know each other very well, but they are nice couple and just wanted to say congratulations - please could you help suggest something? Thanks

    Mothercare gift card?

Alternatively, Mothercare have a lovely unisex hooded cardi for a tenner you could get in a larger size for later.

Gift card :) OR sleepsuits from Primark :) they do unisex ones and they are invaluable - especially with winter coming up. Buy in newborn and 0-3 :) They can always take the newborn back if they are too small (ie have a HUGE baby...) :)

Personally, the gifts I found most useful when I had my children were sleepsuits/outfits in 3-6 month size. Most people seemed to buy 0-3 months, which was lovely but we ended up with loads in this size and a lot didn't get worn. Tesco and Asda do some beautiful unisex outfits for less than £10.

    giftcard!

We have had tons of clothes and blankets but we already had quite a few!

Also, the offer of some help would be nice! We don't know anyone in the area but as soon as baby arrived we have been inundated with phone numbers and the 'don't hesitate to shout if u need anything' which is nice to know even though we've not needed it.

Where does the time go?
  • Nappies and plenty of them :) or decent dummies.
  • You can never have too many vests or sleepsuits, though 3-6 months is a good idea as especially with a first baby you tend to get lots in newborn/first size, cosy blankets and bibs are also handy, or a nice present I received was a porcelain money pig, so they can start putting baby's money away.

a pramsuit now that its getting a bit cold? they vary in price but there are midseason sales on-you might find something close to £10.

ive just bought one for my 6month old and i love it.

Also agree with the giftcard suggestion.

Asda and other places to the baby sleeping bags within your budget. They were one of the best presents I had and really helped my little one sleep at night.
  • What about a pack of nappies (size 2) , pack of wet wipes and some toiletries ... shampoo and baby bath . Always liked this as everyone always get you clothes
