this is REALLY not on - you're either satisfactory or you're not.
(and in you heart of hearts you know you are)
This is no way to treat a teacher MUCH less a NQT
    PLEASE CONTACT YOUR UNION ASAP

for anyone not in the loop satisfactory is absolutely fine BTW - it's an ofsted grading - sounds bad but it isn't -

Sexy - I'm NOT the only one telling you this (CONTACT YOUR UNION NOW). There are CLEARLY management problems at your school - they are NOT doing what should be done HOW it should be done. You are, in effect, being bullied.

    Morning all

Like lots of you I'm a bit down at the moment but won't bore you with the details. Hoping to do some bits in the RofD today, felt to rough yesterday to do any of it.

PenPen - I'd love to see piggy pics

Sexy - I cannot believe how awfully you are being treated. I don't understand why you can't leave or why you would never be able to teach again. I wish I could offer some advice but I can give you a big hugs sweetie

Grateful - I'm so glad I had my third. My gaps are 2 years and then 6 years. DH never wanted anymore (well never wanted any really) so I've always had to accept that most of the parenting is my responsibility (quite a heavy task at times). That sounds mean and he does take them to football, swimming etc but all the day to day stuff is mine. I never felt 'finished' after 2, kept everything (yes everything) in the hope of a third. I now don't hanker for anymore, actually today I'm looking forward to the day DS1 moves out but I'm sure that will pass.

Piggers - I hope you are recovering well this morning and I for one am proud of you for going and getting it sorted against the odds, I so hope it works

Toots - sorry to hear your scary story and I hope you feel less sore today

Mudders I'm glad your DS is at last getting some rest, hugs hun

Valli - loving the updates on the Washing stand Off

Need to check on DS2 who is off school sick again, put the washing on the line

    Morning all. :D

Hugs to sexymouse, I had Ofsted 4 weeks into my teaching career (NQT year didnt exist then like it does now) and I had an absolute cow of an inspector, got very little support from my department and got unsatisfactory due to being so nervous and messing my plans up. Initially they wanted me to submit my lesson plans for a month with resources attached:eek: I went to my union and low and behold I was allowed to carry on teaching with just one observation by my hod. It knocked my confidence for years and only after having my ds 5 years ago did I get my confidence back. I know I teach well and that my kids make progress, enjoy their lessons etc. If I dont match the tick sheet that the teachers who dont want to teach anymore sit with then I dont really care, I do follow what they are looking for and play the game for that one lesson then go back to my normal good teaching the next day:rotfl: The children are the ones who matter so focus your efforts on them and sod the managers who do very little teaching anyway, and speak to your union rep too.
Toots please no more granary rolls tempting as they may be
    flying wise:
Have had a mega blitz last night so am off to find my list to see if anything that I did matches it! silly way of doing it I know but I knew if I turned this machine on then all time would disapear and my house would still be a mess! This morning I have done washing up, wm x1 td x1 made beds s&s bathroom again, washing put away.
    Ok list where are you?

Beds stripped so I am going to make them before I go into town to meet mum to do (LOOK AWAY SOAPPIE) Christmas shopping (for my gift:D) and while the saponificaceous one's attention is elsewhere I intend to write my christmas card this week - partly because it will be a task out of the way but if there's a strike we'll have to post VERY early for Christmas;)
I told you NOT to read this Soappie

I have got the towels out of the TD as, although it's not raining here it doesn't look like a good drying day - so they're done and out of the way.

DS's mucky clothes heap is smaller - so some more stuff has hit the laundry basket...and all his trouser for school are washed and ironed - they have non-uniform day today - how ironic!
