Today's strike is in the sorting offices, tomorrow's strike is deliveries - so mail will be delivered today, but anything posted will not be sorted. Tomorrow mail will be sorted but not delivered... Apparently management will be making the collections. People have been brought in to deal with the backlog that will be generated, but I think they're being quite careful about actually replacing the people who are striking.

I've just had a chat with my postman who told me he'd been called a scab by one man who he delivered a parcel to. He explained, like Greenbee did, that there are deliveries today and the man said 'well don't work tomorrow or you will be a scab'. Charming!

Presents I ordered on Tuesday arrived today so i'm happy. Just need DS to go in school one day between now and christmas so I can wrap them!!!

School has phoned and they're sending him some work to do so he's happy (strange child!!).

Right, soaking feet for my friend to come and do a pedicure for me then i'll finish the recycling. I've emptied the kitchen bin since my last post! xx

    Afternoon all

    Two more stars please Toots
, I did all the bedrooms yesterday and I did the bathroom and toilet today, I don't have a separate study but the computer desk has been done.

One load of washing done and draped round indoors, it's raining.

Otherwise, just been pottering round. Poor dog is limping badly today but the vet has said she can have an extra dose of metacam tonight so hopefully that will help.

    Off to catch up.

Oh... and wilf does great decorating lists if you need inspiration :D
  • DD and chum still not back from early finish at school...now I think I understand why she said "don't worry about feeding us for lunch..."

Hmm. Pizza or chips do you suppose?

I was aiming to finish the Living Room, but decided that my 'cupboard' would be the bookshelves. All the books and games have come out, I've wiped the shelves :eek:and put everything back - but I stil have to dust around and hoover...

    So it's looking like this:

Tuesday ~ Living room, Hall and Stairs
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Declutter the floors[/STRIKE]
    Vacuum said decluttered floors!
    Level Two
[STRIKE]declutter and dust the mantle putting back only what should be there[/STRIKE]
    Wipe the sofas if needed
Wipe and water plants, dust and deweb
    Level Three
Wash any soft furnishings that are in need
[STRIKE]Clear and wipe window sills, and any electricals and picture frames etc[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Empty and clear out a cupboard.. [/STRIKE]

    Extras
    1. HHI
    2. binbag dance
    3. [STRIKE]Wipe the paintwork and bannisters[/STRIKE]
    4. Wash any windows that have been neglected
Actually, when you put it like that, I guess it's not too bad... Bad to fluff, dust and hoover...
