Had a busy morning flying. Had a quick break to buy scents from White Company to make lovely clean living room even nicer. Found a 15% + free delivery code on the Vouchers Board so I'm a very happy flyer! Now having an early lunch as am playing tennis this afternoon. 3rd load of washing going round. Ironing to do later when clothes on airer are dry. I'm going to tackle the kitchen after the school run as I'm out all day tomorrow (hairdo and theatre in London). This is really motivating me.:D

Tennis was fab! Didn't get to tackle kitchen until after evening meal, had to pick up DS2 from after school club but did 2 errands on way home. Ironed for hour and half. DD1 said friend was coming home with her so I saved enough dinner for 2. All the rest asked for seconds and were fobbed off with bread. Said friend didn't materialise and DD ate in town. Grrrrrr! Saved dinner thrown away, microwave is broken and it's too complicated to heat up in oven when I'm always chasing time. DH away for another night, nightmare problems organising babysitter for theatre trip. DH has organised it - why am I so stupid to think he would organise babysitter as well? I'm trying hard not to scream with fustration. Little ones really played up at bedtime, most unlike them. We are all missing DH. Really must get cases out of loft and start putting clothes in them. Will spend all day Thursday making lists and packing. Will get up early to clean bathrooms tomorrow am.

Right.. think I am calmish now..

I have been given an appointment for.. you'll like this.. 8AM on Thursday.. that's not going to happen is it?

Who will get the children ready for school?
Who will take the children to school?

I just laughed at their total lack of competence and said I'll be there just after nine if they want me to leave I'll be more than happy to because I don't want to go in the first place.

While I was waiting a woman with a newborn came in.. obviously having had a section at slashers and said she had had to park in a disabled spot (there are loads more than are ever fully required) and said she was unable to walk from the other car park having just had the baby and not actually meant to be driving this soon anyway.. the lovely helpful smiling member of staff said.. "oh well if you are happy to risk getting a fine then leave it there"..

!!!!!! was the poor woman meant to do?

I swear they get worse every time they 'improve' a service!!

Anyway, I may not go back regardless of whether a miracle happens and I can get there at 8am or not.

    Good evening all,

Going shopping was not my best idea ever - even though we had a great time, it took a huge chunk out of the evening and I'm too tired to do much else. I didn't manage anything from the list, but quite a few things from my own. Must do better tomorrow, though.

    Today I managed to...

    make lunch x2
put leaflets into 200 papers for DS1's paperround
    WM x2
    DW x1
    dry clothes
cook tea (warmed up leftovers for myself)
tidy kitchen after tea (not much to do)
    collect DS2 from friends’ house
go to shopping centre with DS1 and 2 – shoes for DS1 (didn’t find any), more pyjamas for DS2 (ditto) and a little notebook for me so I can start my spending diary (success!) avoid having tea there if I can – fed DS1 there to avoid cooking tea at 8pm
collect concert tickets – box office closed

    Plan for tomorrow:

Wednesday ~ Kitchen of Grot and Diming Room of Gloom
    Level One
    Declutter and mop/vacuum kitchen floor
    Level Two
    Wipe the WM and DW
    Level Three
    Clean the hob

    My list for tomorrow:
    make lunch x2
    find campbed
    WM x2
    DW x1
    empty bins in the house
    Get grey bin ready
    dry/put away clothes
    start spending record book
    listen to DS2 read
    start tea in slow cooker
    finish cooking tea
    tidy kitchen after tea
take DS1 to garden centre to enquire about part-time jobs (he’s desperate to stop doing paperrounds)
declutter floors (living room, stairs and landing, my bedroom)
    hoover same floors
plan shopping and packing for the weekend!!!

I'm just going to read the last 2 or 3 pages of the thread, while I'm waiting for DH to come home, then it's bedtime. Take care, everyone.

It's to crochet this scarf to go with my new coat :D
Yes you should get it, and if there's any spare, you can make another one for me :D:D
When the hook is in the trumpet yes;)
:confused: mind you, I've just seen your FB post... :p

lala - sorry, I didn't realise you were still at school  I thought you were a grown up with a job...:p:p:p I think you need to have a formal meeting with a senior manager. Also consider talking to a union rep. I know its not long, and that you're all supporting each other, but this woman needs help

jinky - talk to your manager, unlike lala's she obviously cares about you, so return her calls and she should be able to avoid any issues resulting from an unauthorised absence.

Had a meeting with HR and my boss (by phone) today. He's still annoying me, but hopefully the issues can be sorted by HR/Occ Health. They've given me a letter to drop off for my GP (because of the postal strike) asking for information about my back problems. She won't be impressed, as rather than asking her to release relevant information they've asked her opinion on the problem, whether it qualifies under DDA, how it may impact my work, what the prognosis is etc... most of which she's not qualified to answer and has already told me that they need Occ Health to do it!

Anyway, I have an appointment for next Friday, so hopefully it will all be sorted by Christmas  I must remember to call the physio tomorrow to make another appointment.

Ankle is still sore, but I'm going to go to the gym tomorrow as I don't want to stop being active. I'm out in the evening again, so I'm not quite sure a. when I'll get to the surgery to drop off the letter :o or b. when I'll get any flying done!

Hugs all round... off to find the occ health statement from my last job and try to pack my gym bag etc for tomorrow.
