  • In my HHC which turned out to be an hour! I have stripped all down stairs beds. 1x WM 1x TD, washed up, wiped bunkers, quick tidy up of livingroom, made poorly DS1 a cup of tea. Off now to put the lunch on for DS2 and DD coming in at half past then I'll get stuck into the bedroom. Oh and I opened a drawer in my bedroom and the runner came completely off !

Q1....Do I still get stars if I complete last weeks list.. or do I need to match it up with this weeks list?

jobs from last weeks is fine

Q2... is that right? By high sleepers you mean bunkbeds I presume? My smoke alarm is right outside the boys room where they have bunkbeds, so assume this would be ok. Is this the law or just good advice? if its the law (and someone has a link ;) ) I'll write to my housing association and try and blag a free one outta them!!!

Could someone PM me the answers please, as I wont have time to read through the thread for the answer. Much obliged.

the fire brigade advise all rooms with highsleepers including bunk beds have a smoke alarm in the room and also 1 on the landing.. 2 if it is split level landing and also in the room next to the kitchen and in the hallway.

I didn't know either until we had the fire last year and they were installed everywhere!

Obviously smoke rises so the person in the top bunk will have suffocated to death by the time the smoke alarm on the landing goes off.. in theory..

  • Comes back all hot and sweaty - mm, nice!

In that 45minC, I've finished tidying up under sofa, got a few things to dump and a few things that might get ebayed or else chucked. Hoovered as best I could until hooover just kinda gave up. Have put the filter in to soak again. Need to do some dustpan and brushing of one area and then go over that bit again with hoover, but the main part is pretty good! And have cleaned down a cupboard door which is being kept behind sofa.

Have you managed to do anything Jinky?

Having lunch and then will decide about doing another HHC. Think I will go and order some library books now
