I'll be in.. see if I can make headway in the kitchen.. there isn't much I can do in my room until I get DD2's bed out of here so I may as well do another room.
I may look for the paint for the hallway too.. strike while the irons hot and all that!

I notice that most of the beams down stairs have gained cobwebs in the last few weeks - do I leave them for the halloween party, or remove them and replace with artificial ones in a fortnight? I don't mind spiders.
Keep them - why make work for yourself!
Went to physio this morning, who confirmed that it's work causing my back pain. She said she can't make a direct link between my fall and the back problem, but circumstantial evidence indicates that it is likely!
Met HR who have agreed to a Occ Health referral (they use an external company), confirmed that I can bring in a ball to sit on temporarily, and have also said that they will be changing their paperwork so that it is simpler for people to declare disabilities during the recruitment process. I don't know how long it will take to sort out, but I have made clear that the longer they leave it the more there will be to sort out at the end of it. They muttered about cost, so I suggested that they consider comparing the retention cost against the cost of recruiting a replacement, as I can't stay here if it will be detrimental to my health (I didn't mention how much trouble it could cause if that's why I ended up leaving... hex will know better, but I'm pretty sure that could be construed as constructive dismissal and be covered by both DDA and H&S @ work...). When they said that they thought my approach was a bit aggressive, I said I didn't think that there was any point in pretending it wasn't a possibility - after all, why would I work somewhere that will cause me health problems!
So we'll see how it goes... hope you're all working hard! See you later...0 -
Come on then lou and pigpen - jinks you can join in too - you haven't got time to be sitting around!

Well, my 10:45 -11:45am went on till 12:45....! And I have now decluttered some cheese on toast as well.
I did loads of things, but nothing that can be crossed off a list until the "kitchen day" turns up.
I've:
* Wiped the top of the oven
* Washed up after the roast meal last night
* Chopped up the rest of the pork shoulder and made 2 big lasagnes - 1 for tonight, 1 for the freezer
* Hung up one large load of washing
* Washed a double quilt in my WM and hung it up
* Folded and put away masses of washing
* Made a couple of essential phone calls that I've been putting off
* Slung loo cleaner in the loos to get on with it while I was doing other things
* Tidied up a corner of the kitchen where I had put all the wires, packaging and dead routers after my Broadband fix last week. Slung the dead equipment. Wound up all useful wires and put them away. I'm learning!
* Made a batch of pork sandwiches for the freezer for DH
Hmm. What to do now? Continue with the kitchen so that's easily done another day? Or launch into the bedroom (which I only just did recently)?
You know... it's nice and warm in the kitchen and a bit chilly upstairs so I think the kitchen wins.....;)
It's where the kettle is, too....:D
I have a Must-Do-Or-Die letter to do this lunchtime, too, so I think I will tackle that first and then do a good clean round the kitchen. That should take me to school run. Will start now, and join in the 1:15-1:45, hoping to have the letter done by then.
With love to all
MissH
