QUOTE Carrots are figuring quite heavily in our diet at the moment due to them being so cheap in Morrisons just now! QUOTE

I got a bag in Aldi yesterday for 39p. on my own so going to be eating them for chuffing ages! Had them in Sausage Casserole today, 4 portions at about 80p each and it was grand. Made it in my new SC which I bought yesterday! Love it already.

    Evening all

Have had a lovely weekend, hubby worked yesterday morning so I managed to get washing, ironing etc done. Made pizza dough in BM for boys and hubby's lunch, I had my fav salad. Was given some lovely bramley apples so got them cooked and have put them in the freezer for later date (think they will become apple crumble). My bro and sister in law were on a flying visit to my mum's so went over to mum's for a natter and mum was babysitting my boys whilst hubby and I went to a friend's 40th birthday party. We are now having a round of 40th birthday's - it brings it home to you life is so short, we should all get together with friends much more often but everyone is so busy. I'm ashamed to say I was a little worse for wear - hubby informed me that when we got back I missed the open gateway completely and walked into the gatepost - he thought it was very amusing - I don't remember anything! As I've lost nearly 2 stone I forgot my capacity for alcohol is not so good - I don't drink very much very often and now remember why! I can't cope with the day after - not like I used to! Have been quite OS today as not felt up to much - pack-ups, school/work clothes done. Chicken out of freezer to defrost for tomorrows evening meal.

Hope everyone's had a good weekend, ready for the week ahead, keep safe and well, hugs to those that need them.
