Good Morning chums ,
My, its a bit fresh this morning, just had to flick on CH for an hour to warm up a bit. First time this winter, so its not too bad.
DD and son-in-law took me out for dinner last night. Lovely curry locally, and not that expensive (although they wouldn't take anything towards it) I shall make thm a Victoria sponge cake later, as they both like HM cake.
Had to get my winter coat out as well as it was so nippy. Today I am doing a bit of de-cluttering of the drawers in the sitting room.Far too full of unnessery junk.then this afternoon as usual I'll be off to my youngest DD's to play with the children and have dinner to night.Tomorrow I get my pneumonia injection, hopefully not too much of a reaction.
I had my flu' jab last week and it was o.k. I am going to try and sort out my dried food cuboards this week, as I have four cupboards crammed to bursting with pulses, tinned good ect, and it really need listing, and putting on the inside of each cupboard door so I know what I have in store. I hope everyone has a good day <<hugs to Jayne & George, and anyone else who is feeling down and sad.
Take care everyone

Morning...
Diva..thanks hun. I did sleep better and longer today. Slept til 10 (9 your time) and woke up with a kitty cuddling on my feet hehe.
Bitsy..Hope you guys feel better soon.
I was just reading this interesting article regarding travel ( https://www.guardian.co.uk/travel/2009/oct/17/free-travel-holiday-budget?page=all ).
It might be of use to some of you as it shows how you can get cheap or free things for a holiday
My cat (Gizmo) is doing so much better. I think I will take his collar off tonight after I give him his nightly antibiotics. The wound is almost healed up!
Husband was working til 4am last night so I think I will surprise him with breakfast in bed heh.
Might go out for a bike ride today but doesn't look nice out at the moment. They said it would be sunny and blue skies...all I see is gloom and doom out there.
Undecided what to make for dinner but I'm leaning towards homemade burgers, chips and a chinese cabbage salad. Not in the mood for a big roast dinner today so wanna keep it simple.
Have a nice day folks.*If you like the advice I give...let me know by clicking the THANKS button*

Morning all
I had a lovely sleep, needed it after my Friday night partying! Woke up at 8 and put WM on. Lazed in bed for an hour then got up at 9. I've packed my case for my work trip to London, put second load in WM, first load is on airer now. I've tidied round, chopped and frozen some veg that was in fridge so it doesn't go off when I'm not here.
Just need to wash dished and make a sandwich for the journey now. My friend is picking me up in half hour, we are off to the rugby, then for some food and then she is dropping me at train station for 5pm.
I'll be MIA all week so have a good one and I'll post again on Saturday

Morning everyone :hello:
I hope your voice returns soon Diva. x
Hope Noah is much better this morning NPM. x
How are you Jayne?
Had a restless night so feeling a bit groggy this morning. I was disturbed by a dream that Donnygal came to visit unnanounced and blocked our road with her huge campervan. It seems she was on the run after killing a vicar.
:o:D God alone knows what that means.
Have been reasonably busy this morning but the girls being away means I get everything done with no interruptions so I'm ahead of the game. Have washed their bedding, hung it up to dry, been for the papers, put tonights's beef stew in the SC, made another loaf, cleaned the bathroom, watched Gardener's world on iplayer, fed the hens and cleaned out the fire. Have just made a huge pot of coffee so I'm allowing myself a little surf and a look at some vintage blogs before tackling the big clear out of the girls' room. _pale_
Will treat myself to an early lighting of the fire and a read of the papers when I get it done.
OH wants to go foraging today. We spotted some more elderberries yesterday and I want to colect some kindling wood as I'm fed up with using firelighters and I have limited success with paper sticks. Will also collect the last of the blackberries and make a crumble for tonight.
Have a good day everyone. xxx

I'm tired today. Was obviously someones birthday next door, as when I was in bed last night I heard them all singing Happy Birthday. They are good neighbours, but their children thunder up and down the stairs and sound like they are continuously doing laps of the house.. I'm sure they hear noise from us as well, but I always tell the kids off for running around, so they don't tend to do it. Was also woken up this morning by it, on my one possible day for a lie in. Consequently I have a headache starting, think its just tiredness.
Mioliere - hope hubby's finger doesn't need another op.
bitsy - well done on new mindee
NPM - hope Noah starts to feel better soon.
Didn't get the baking done yesterday with the children, so that the plan for today. DS wants to make toffee squares with caramel sauce, and DD wants to make brownies.
Will also be starting to pack for scout camp that they're going on next weekend, as won't get much chance to do it in the week.
Heard yesterday that school appeal was unsuccessful. I would love to know who wins these things, as I had done my research and presented a very persuasive case. Hopefully she will get in there next year when she moves to secondary school.0 -
Morning all
Dropped hubby at work, as he unlocked all the alarms went off, I stayed til it got sorted & we've just got home again. The people who had booked the school for an event didn't turn up, so we could have stayed at home.
Roast chicken for dinner, but not til late, we'll watch the GP first. I've sorted all my wool out & am getting on with my raspberry ripple blanket.
Hope Noah is soon on the mend.
Hugs Hester
