My dehydrator should hopefully arrive tomorrow *crosses fingers* i`ve ordered it from Juiceland and they say next day delivery to the uk mainland.

Alias - i want to make the fruit leathers that are mentioned on the site and nibbly stuff like apple rings etc. I should be able to dry the gazillion chillies that are on my plants and make some chilli powder and - well just stuff

Hopefully i`ll have a house full of hm healthy snacks and nice things like dried tomatoes which i`ll put in bottles with oil and basil and won`t need to go to the shops and buy as much. There is so much food from the garden this year that i`m running out of space so drying things like raspberries means that i can add them to cereals etc Also like the idea of drying and grinding the toms then adding a bit of water to the powder to make pizza topping instead of opening a big tub of passata.
On one of the sites i was reading about drying orange and lemon slices for christmas decorations which will be nice. I`m sure that i`ll be doing lots of things with it. Everyone that i`ve told thinks i`m mad and they`re probably right :rotfl:

Both my freezers are stuffed to the gills now so that didn`t take long, how i ever got the idea that i could manage with just one small freezer i`ll never know

Anyhow, today i`ve [STRIKE]pigged[/STRIKE] eaten, scramblies on toast for brekkie, leftover gammon and mushroom pasta for dinner and i`ve just had a quick snack of a sandwich using leftover bits of meat from the fridge (pastrami & gammon)

If i can drag my arris off the sofa later tea will be giant sage and onion yorkshire puds filled with lincolnshire sausages and cauli and carrots with onion gravy *drools* may see if a jacket spud will fit in as the tin for the puds is 8" in diameter If i can`t get off the sofa then may just have a takeaway treat as its been a while :whistle:

Cuppa tea time i think then feet up for half an hour - i`m knackered!

Well i fell asleep early on the sofa - can`t you tell. I`ve not been having much sleep cos of the shifts and today is my day off!

The usual five hours has been slept and i could scream, i did try to get back to sleep but theres no chance so i`ve been around the house switching things on :D:D

We get cheaper leccy at night so everything that needs charging is on and the washing machine, dishwasher, hot water heater etc too.
Might as well get some benefit out of being up at stupid o clock when i don`t need to be.

My excalibur was despatched last night - just read the email so fingers crossed that it arrives today so i`ve time to mess with it, DH informed me yesterday that today was also his day off, that may be another reason why i`m up early - i could`ve passed out and just come round.;)

Not a lot will get done today house wise as we`ll end up screaming at each other probably :rotfl: Mostly my fault really, i get ratty after a long run of shifts and i`m best left alone to sort myself out

Gardening could well be out too as i`ve just let little old woofaloe out into the garden and its chucking it down Won`t be able to get DH to cut the hedge now either!

Aw well, i`m off to put the kettle on and have a browse.

Wow daisy that looks like it would be good crack. (I thought the potatoes looked particularly appealing. :rotfl:)

Just kidding about the potatoes, looks like a fun weekend, I might quite like that kind of thing if I wasn't as fat and unfit.

If you'd mentioned earlier....the rest of us could have booked up for the fun part and waved at you whilst you were exercising...you know, just for support.
