Just coz i've had a bit of a life this week (sort of ) doesn't mean you lot can avoid posting

Am still depressed mind, but just took eldest to station for his return, and youngest coming for lunch later, so the situation has improved slightly :cool:

OMG those are scary.... the second one especially! It's like a pod face iyswim. I will have bad dreams now of big plastic people with weird faces chasing me now. :rotfl:

Actually the other 3 are more normal but the 2nd one and 4th one are more freaky...think it might be the glasses?

Actually Dame Edna used to freak me out a bit and she/he had similar glasses to No.4. :rotfl:

I'm giving this too much thought now amn't I? :D

I ate a massive Chinese meal last night. I am really angry with myself - i just really faniced it and completely gorged on food til i felt sick. It is weird coz that morning I was FINALLY under a new stone (15 stone something rather than 16) so it was almost like I wanted to sabotage myself. :(:(:(

DH has discovered Gillian McKeith -you are what you eat. Now every mouthful I eat is followed by "Dr Gillian says......Dr Gillian doesn't approve of...." I think DH will soon find out how tasty that book is, if you get my meaning! Grrrr.

Sorry chaps, I am in a foul mood today. Distended tum, hurricane wind & guilt do not a happy Marrow make.

Morning peeps :wave:

chucking it down here today I wanted to get out in the garden before it goes dark for an hour or so later but i`ll have to wait for a dry day methinks.

Last night i sat and de stringed a huge carrier bag of runner beans and washed and chopped them all up and then portioned them up for the freezer, when i got home yesterday some lovely person had left me a carrier of plums on the doorstep :j i`ll sort them out later tonight, i`ve no idea who left them though despite a few phone calls so i`ve no idea who to thank.

I`m halfway through the run of what i call "the living at work shifts" where i struggle to do more than i absolutely have to and what with all the produce from the garden to prep i`ve not as much time online as i`d like. I`ve got threads all over the place to catch up with another 4 to do not including today and then i get two days off :jcan`t bloomin wait.

Alias - when its busy at work i read mostly and only post if its quiet, nice to see you`ve improvised though so its not too lonely

as i`ve had a "want one" type of voice in my head for a while and if i decide to buy one it best be now or i`ll not get one.

I dont car that it's sunday or a school night. I've had enough today. I dont want to be Mum anymore. I was thinking today that my mum died at 60 and dad at 66. I've not got long left and my life sucks. I'd be a bit p*ssed off if I died before I got to have a life.

You'd think the big man would chuck a wee lottery win my way considering the circumstances. :rotfl: I dont even want much, I just want what most people class as normal.

SD, they're usually quite good refunding charges for a first offence.

I'm fighting with Hoseasons just now as the bloke who took the booking told me to send in my invoice and they'd refund the electricity charges...did that and no-one seems to know anything about it and wont pay me. It's *only* £30 but they are a huge company and if they can't/wont cough up then they will never see another penny from me or mine.

Oh well....suppose that's it then.....

Hi people. Thanks for the thoughts alias. I've been off here as my mum died on September 4 and I've been thrown into the world of bereavement. The funeral is on Tuesday - ridiculously long time to wait. Oh, and it's my 40th birthday on Wednesday. Fabulous timing. People are being great but it's so hard. Am curently trying to write the eulogy - hence being on here and faffing about. Nice to have a bit of normality though.

Alias, seize the day. Like you say - never know how long you've got left. x
