Already?
He's only been there a day. :rotfl:
I'm just in limbo biding my time until 'the event'.Corner of the room is best place for me at the moment. I did venture out today but ended up doing so many bloody stupid things that I figured I was better off at home.

For those even more bored, heres some stats about my year so far...
I have eaten .......14 McChicken Sandwich meals (don't really know actual total but it seems like a fair guess)
I have underestimated the size of my stomach...... and am always surprised how much I can cram in there.
I have walked .......every single day (either to my car or to the fridge)
I have done .......more boxing rounds than I care to remember (in my head when I'm silently dealing with my OH or annoying son)
I have lifted ......an award for best hamster in show.
Now who's the Daddy? :rotfl:Herman - MP for all!0 -

I find this book fantastic, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Collins-Gem-Calorie-Counter-Uk/dp/000731762X/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1284665109&sr=8-2 it contains all nutritional information.
However I've found that the supermarket comparison website also includes nutritional info for food which is a handy guide.

Morning peeps
blooming freezing here today BRRR!
Alias - Your post yesterday didn`t half make me laugh
Didn`t manage to get on here yesterday even though it was my day off, had a browse but didn`t feel much like posting so i kept busy as we had some carp news.
Morning was good - walked the woofaloes and then went to pick elderberries with Dsis. Spent ages destalking them and made some elderberry syrup and started off some elderberry wine *drools*
Picked all the beetroot from the garden and cooked it all then pickled it, also managed to pickle the last two cucumbers with some onions too
DH rang in the afternoon with the bad newslooks like he might be jobless from just after Christmas
the company isn`t doing too well and it may close down altogether, he`s only been there two years so won`t have anything to come moneywise.
I spent the rest of the day thinking about it and worrying - don`t know how well i would cope with this again having gone through it all before two years ago, the worry and the stress was unbelieveable.
Anyhow i`ve decided to think positive, we`ve got plenty of notice to get ourselves organised so i`m going to do a big overhaul of our finances and see how we stand. I have a small amount of savings and am so glad that i`ve been overpaying the mortgage - that will be a life saver i think.
On a more positive note i`ve lost some more of the holiday weight that i put on :j thats another 2lb off:D
Right best go and do some work, catch up with you all later.
Have a good day everyone.:D
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Oh that's rotten SD, had you thought about dealing with your frustration by slapping him hard for picking such a rubbish job?
Just kidding obviously, we'll all do the united crossed fingers thing for you and hope something positive happens or comes up for him. x
By the way, if you're wondering where your 2lb went that you lost...I found it for you.I'll keep it safe on my butt for now.:rotfl:
Well I HAVE to get on with the house today, I've procrastinated so much over the last week I've been little better than useless. Poor daughter is now so tired she's beginning to look pale. It's not fair on her at all and I feel really bad today so I'll get on with what I need to do so she has a space of her own again.
Poor child said to me yesterday... 'Mum, I miss being little'. When I asked her why, she said ...'when I was younger, we had carpet everywhere and proper beds and wallpaper and Dad had more hair and you were thin and happy and you went out more and did stuff with me.
They get you right in the heart don't they? From our pov, we've been improving over the last few years and you can't make an omelette without breaking an egg, but from her pov, it's just been all hassle and stuff everywhere and building site-ish. We couldn't ever have afforded to do it all at once which is partly why it's taken so long but I've never really thought about it from her perspective. I gave her a cuddle and told her it would all be over soon but I'm aware I do say that regularly so she probably just doesn't believe me now.
If I had my time over again I'd have stuck with the cheapo sapele doors, the cold rooms, the squeaky sagging floors and the chipped white skirtings. I'm not sure oak doors and woodwork, insulated walls and new floors everywhere was worth the cost to us personally.
Oh well, what can you do, just need to keep going until it's over as they say.
*gets up off virtual counselling couch and heads for the kettle*
