    Really, do we need to  resuscitate a thread that is nearly eleven years old??

    I'm not sure that 50 is actually  old.

    Hopefully the OP managed to find those 50 gifts, and then the 60 gifts ten years later!!

    Well, speaking for myself, I'm glad someone has resurrected this topic......otherwise I would have missed it.  Every one of us comes up against this dilemma at some point.  Interesting to read through the suggestions,  and great to read that poem again after a very long time.

    Personally, I'd find 50 gifts (or in my case, almost 70) far too overwhelming to enjoy.
  • I saw you thought about candles, but also how about wax melts? You'd be able to get an extra gift with a range of scents. Do you have a smell that would take her back to a time and place in memory? Could be very evocative!
