A mate recieved it in the post today from Civil Enforcement Ltd requesting payment. I've read other posts on this forum about the same company. Any advice?

  • It's a free delivery of toilet paper - although I personally find Andrex much more pleasant.

I see the cheeky bar stewards even ask for £10 for a copy of the "evidence".

I like the picture of the "scales of justice" on the form. Is that sort sort of ruse to make it look like an official court document?

Just tell your mate to ignore it and any subsequent threatening letters.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • is the address and phone number real ???

if so i`d be tempted to give some abuse down the phone

Make sure your mate doesn't waver when he gets letters in the coming weeks and months from 'debt collectors' and 'solicitors' - it is all part of the scam. Nothing will happen.

Whatever he does, he should not enter into any correspondence at all. It's important not to give the PPC the ammo of knowing who the driver was. Any photo will only be of the car, it means nothing.

Hope he understands it's a scam, I would hate to think how many hapless victims actually pay these demands thinking they are official in some way.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

And why does it have an address in Liverpool, but a nottingham telephone number?
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

    Well spotted
When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.
