I did the 5 mile race in Bradford city centre this morning, 58 minutes.

I'd actually registered for the 10 mile distance but since the GNR I had a nasty flu bug which left me with zero energy so I haven't run a single step since the GNR

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
  • I've just sorted out a carrier bag full of paper and somehow got a big black bag full of rubbish from it. I'm sure there's some law of nature that says that shouldn't be possible...

*sigh* Right now I hate Sky Broadband. I know it's not their fault there's a fault on the line, but they could have just said that instead of putting Pint through the diagnostic. Luckily I have a 3 PAYG dongle hanging around so I just loaded it up instead (hope it's not out for too long, this could get expensive)

  • I'm trying to watch Martin's 'Thrifty Ways' on ITV Player and it keeps re-loading every few seconds. I'm going to lose my temper soon.

So much for my "sod all" day....I've been to town, changed all the beds, washed all the bedding, remade all the ruddy beds, helped DD1 clean her pit, hung some curtains, sorted the clean laundry, cleaned the kitchen, prepped the dinner and am now cooking the dinner.

Tonight I shall wallow in a very hot, deep bath and climb into a lovely fresh clean bed with my brand new Dara Obriain book from the library.... bliss.
