Yes. I know someone who flew to Hong Kong to buy it for around £160 last year! (She didn't go just for the camera though!)

The x50 was priced at £75 at the Park Royal Asda last night - probably the best 'bargain' there. I was very tempted by the Sony p200 for £150 myself, but even at that price couldn't really justify upgrading from my p150.

Thanks to the OP, I just picked up the last Pentax Optio WP in Ipswich for £95 and 10yo daughter picked a samsung 3mp 'proper' camera for £25 instead of £80.

For info they (Ipswich) still had at least 1 Minolta x50 for £70.

If anybody could get me a konica x1 or fuji f455, i would be xtremely grateful, been to my local in southport and guess what - all gone!!!

Bought the Konica Z10 at Llandudno Asda for £30. Advertised on Amazon at £124. Seems like a good price for a neat 8* optical zoom camera. Downside is that it is 3MP but at this price who can argue. Overhead the assistants talking and were saying loads more stock coming in over weekend (not sure if this is llandudno only or nationwide). Oh and I got voucher for 50 free prints as well can't be bad.thanks to op

Hi Im also looking for the Minolta Dimage X1. I reside in Dundee, but will be in Edinburgh on Saturday/Sunday so can collect or arrange postage costs from anywhere in the UK. Anyone not needing one or can reserve then I would be grateful.....so please pm me.

Hey! Thanks for the tip! pciked up the last Konica Minolta @ basildon. Beacuse it was the display 1 i got it for £52! barg!!!

The local store said they were getting more stock, but of NEW camera's and this sale was to clear the old stock ready for the new. I asked as they didn't have it near me and I asked if they would be gettimng more and was told no.

.. went back into Asda today after picking up the x50 yesterday, only to see new POS up advertising 50 free digital prints 6"x4" with every digital camera purchase.
Showed my reciept and was handed a voucher, and an apology that the POS only came in today - exp 31.12.06, only 1 voucher per person per visit.
