I have the same, the only razor I can use is the wilkinson sword ones with a protector on. They work really well and I just shave with shower gel now!

OH used to get the itching with a razor, now she's got an electric one, basically a curved rotating spring thing which pulls the hairs out.

She says it doesn’t hurt and once showed me how much it didn’t hurt by trying it on my beard.

Obviously she and I have completely different ideas about what does and doesn’t hurt.

use hair conditioner as shaving cream and put baby oil on while my skin is still wet. That usually does the trick but if they get sore the next day (it seems to be cold weather that sets mine off, and only on my shins) I rub on some Sudocrem and then moisturiser on top.

E45 is the best lotion for keeping my skin moist.

bestpud - see my previous reply - if it starts around this time of year, then ask yourself if you're itchy anywhere else - I used to get itching on the underside of my forearms, and at the bottom of my back. Now I'm on my vitamin D I rarely get it - if I start to itch I increase my vitamin D for a couple of days.

I'm amazed that a little vitamin is what it takes to stop the itching - it used to drive me round the bend!
