Tesco: New Bogof policy

Well I got my first "Special Offer Promise Voucher" today, for a £1 bag of potatoes which the store didn't have in the £1 vegetables bogoff (any one of potatoes, carrots, tomatoes and one other of the three free).

Whether they will ever have the potatoes to go with the offer remains to be seen, most people appear to have had potatoes and tomatoes, leaving piles of carrots, few tomatoes and no potatoes.

Anyhow, I had to take my till slip to the Supervisor, she in turn printed out one of these vouchers and filled in the relevant details for me to exchange in the normal way when I pay for my next lot of shopping - assuming the spuds are available.

The process appears to have started this week. How long I will have to wait to redeem my promise voucher, remains to be seen - although if I cannot get the spuds within the next month, I shall be bending the ear of the duty manager to be allowed to take an alternative instead.
