great isnt it, thats how i feel most days lol, typical isnt it
more ebay cheques arrived today so it looks like i have to make a decison, it will be (once cleared) £28.39 (although i have more to come). Now i have to decide do i pay it against the 'mum' debt or do i spend it on a treat (bedside table £19.99)any ideas? i really want this debt gone but at the momment i am spending nothing or very little (but saying this i am going out tommorow £8 (approx) and i am buying some sandpaper, dye and paint brushes today £5 (approx)) so what would you do?
someone give me a kick and tell me to pay it against my 'mum' debt

Do you NEED a bedside table?
Will the world stop turning if you dont have one
thats what i tell myself everytime i WANT something, and eventually common sense takes over
Occasional treats are good, if you think of it as a reward for your excellent progress, but then again i think once you start spending again saying no to yourself becomes harder
Leave it a fortnight before deciding what you will spend the money on
Plus think of your poor mum and the money you owe her (guilt trip)0 -

hi kev, no i dont need a bedside table, i am using my mums at the momment (has fish tank on it) no i have decided i am going to pay my mum, once i am debt free then i will start thinking about buying things for me again, also i am going out tommorow (may even pay for my mums and her ohs admission too) so i think i will not get the tableoff to the bank on monday to pay the two bills :j cant wait

Good choice about the bedside table.
ps your sig is vereeeeeeeeeeee funny0 -
I think you did the right thing by deciding to pay your Mum too.
As you say, once you are debt free then you can buy yourself things (still looking for bargains of course!) and you can do it worry/guilt free.

another small update
today i paid some of my debts off :j i payed £70.38 from cc2 and £270.00 from cc1. The reason i didnt pay it all off is i had to send the ebay items and of course that costed some money  but i have just banked £149.49 worth of cheques with will clear cc1 and some of mums
I will update sig once the payments have cleared onto the cards
I have also cancelled driving (after my second lesson today with the new instuctor) these are my reasons, the new driving instructor is pulling all my confidence back down (today i had an awfull lesson) and she is becoming very harsh with me and i cant stand it i thought i could but i cant, once i have passed driving it will take me prob 6-9 months to save for a car and insurance etc etc and also to be honest i cant be bothered anymore, so i have cancelled!
Also today i had a call from orange to upgrade my phone and have another contract, i said no i am going payg so that will cost £4.49 (i can keep my number) but it will save me the £38.00 a month i pay now except when i need credit.
so today has been an good and bad day today, i now just need to decide if i am going to try and drive with a different driving school or give up?0 -
hi postings,
I have only jusy read your thread today (somehow I missed it). Good news on your DFD, I am v jealous!
Re: driving it took me a few attempts to pass and I was all for giving up, however my mum and sister took it upon themselves to book my next text for a week later, told me on the day of the test and guess what I passed!! it's up to you but it would seem a waste of the money already spent on lessons if you give up now, also once you have your licence you will have more incentive to save up for a car. Can anyone recommend an instructor? Have any of your friends/ family used one in your area recently?
Good luck!Saving for an early retirement!0
