That is such brilliant news posting, what a difference from a couple of weeks ago when you were so down. You can give yourself a pat on the back for doing the right thing.

Bet your mum is pleased with you too. Maybe you should save up for the car and the lessons before starting up again.

Dont give up...took me 3 times to pass my test bt have never had an accident that was my fault in 19 years! ie...people hit me but I didnt hit anyone else!! Its fab when you pass so keep going! Look forward to further progress towards DFD...it gives those of us with quite a way to go great encouragement to see that it can be done so keep going - you're on the home stretch!:D :D:D

I dont think i want to give up and once these debts are payed it will not really be as much as a strugle and my mum doesnt want me to give up either, she has found me another instructor so i am hopefully swapping, lets just see....

I have a question for you all though, I have just had cc1 bill through and it has a direct debt set up on it, now if i pay it off before the direct debt is due - 19/06 will the still take the direct debit or not? i am very confused lol

You have time to write to the company and ask them to cancel the dd. you can also contact your bank and cancel it at your end. I am able to do this on internet banking. If you have internet banking you can usuall find a list of the direct debits on your account and you just have to delete it then it will not be paid.

  • hi all, i last posted here a week ago and loads have changed :j I have recived, banked and cleared the laptop cheque :) so its just a visit to the bank and pay the two bills. I phoned the old drving school and cancelled with them (they have sent me a cheque for the money i didnt use) and i have been with a new independent instructor (one lesson, 1 1/2 hours) and she is great, a little pushy but i will only be with here for about 30 hours so i am not bothered :) I have put in for my therory (my sister payed for it - bless her) so hopefully i will pass  i now have £72.38 to last me 13 days, and i think i will do it :j
