My only hope is that the creditor turns up this time, last time they did not and so I walked away with the judge saying it was my lucky day! I knew somehow that it was not the end!!!!!
Anyway sure this for the best as I need to get closure!

hiya fwap it's good to be able to share with people who are going through the same thing, i'd go mad without this place! someone in work has just told me she's going br 2 weeks after me - we've spoken about money worries before. now whenever we see each other we're pulling faces and panicking together
i'm hoping tomorrow in work will go quick and noone asks me for anything:rolleyes:
good luck tomorrow, it'll be over before you know it! xx0 -

Howdy all.
We should have gone BR this month unfortunately day before our BR date the company OH works for announced official redundancies:eek: and we pulled out due to him having maybe a large redundancy payout and a pension lump sum and thought we had better take a more better look at our situation.
Well we looked at our situation, wasnt that good as the OR would have had the redundancy payment lump sum and pension lump sum
but last night OH came home with an offer of redeployment within the company which he wants to take.
This means his redundancy would be withdrawn and his pension would be safe, but the part he isnt liking means he losses his job title, but as he says whats a job title/position when a wage packet still is coming in. so I have one question to askand its this,
His new job means a drop in wages of around £5.5k a year....all the job changing about is provable with official documents etc and as OH said better any job than no job...
Would the OR look unfavourably at OH down grading his job?? I should think that taking a lower paid job and bieng in employment would be more better than NO job.
OH would still be within a IPA/O range and still would have the possibility of a BRU but thats better than bieng unemployed and no income to pay anything at all.
Have phoned the local court and they have dates available for the end of the month so we are going for it, just was wondering what the OR would think of OH taking a lower paid job and not the large redundancy payout that would have only wiped out 30% of his debts and his pension lump sum would have only wiped out about 5% of outstanding debts, whilst this new job woud give them a IPO for 36 months at least...
Hope you are all keeping well and warm on this chilly rainy dull day here in the Midlands

Thank you to everyone for every single piece of advice, felt so strong going in there kinda knowing what may happen.

Can I join I went BR yesterday?

I wanna join please. I should be BR by the end of the month. I wish I had found these forums long ago then I wouldn't have had to do this all alone. Never mind I'm almost there. Seems Scotland is a lot different procedure from England, less complicated and I dont have to go to court, for which I am very thankfull.0

hiya
i don't see why you would need to tell the OR that there would have been a redundancy payment if your OH had lost his job - he didn't lose his job so that options is no longer there. i can't see how losing a job can be preferable to downgrading in the current climate. i really don't think you have anything to worry about. you've got a steady income coming in and that's better than the uncertainty of redundancy. don't panic x0
