That's interesting actually Beanie. I wonder how people percieve my relationship with the kids.
Natasha is affectionate and cuddlesome, likes to sit on my knee, hold my hand, give kisses and cuddles.
Ryan doesn't - it makes him a bit uncomfortable. He will give quick cuddles, but doesn't like to be touched unless he initiates it.
So outwardly, it probably appears to people I favour Natasha, but I love them both equally. I just tailor my behaviour to what each of them needs from me.
Sorry to butt in here but I can totally relate to this! I have 3 daughters who are 6, 3 and 2. My oldest is a quiet wee girl who loves to read and is quite solitary, she likes company when she wants it but otherwise is perfectly happy left on her todd to do her own thing (happy to play with friends, just not so keen on playing with boring mum lol). So I think to outsiders it would seem I do not give her enough attention, although I do try to, if she's not in the mood then I may as well be talking to the wall.
My middle daughter is extremely clingy and needs heaps of physical affection, she doesn't talk much but always has to be touching me. Carried around, kisses and hugs, always touches my face for some reason lol. So I guess it would look as though I prefered my middle daughter, as I am always holding her.
My youngest is an independant little girl - she is the boss of them all. She is loud and frankly a bit of a bully lol. She likes to put my other girls in strangleholds and do bodyslams lol, I'm sure she's gonna be a wrestler :rotfl:She's maybe only like that because she is physically much bigger made (she's stocky and my other two are very thin) than the others she has everyone doing as she says! Again because she is the youngest I get frowned at for carrying my middle daughter around instead of her. But if I try carry the little one around I get told quite sternly "put me down, I'm not a baby" :rotfl:I'll playfight with my youngest who loves it but if I did this with the others there would be instant tears
Sorry to ramble it just goes to show you do have to alter your behaviour depending on what each of your children need/want from you. :cool:I'm 26, been with my OH for 8 years - we have 3 beautiful daughters and no debt collector can ever touch our family.LBM: 03/10/09 Unsecured Debts: 69K  DMP Start Date 01/11/2009.0 -

At the end of the day they all have different needs as indeed we all do. You adapt to them and cater for them all in different ways but love then equally but differently.
Oh heck.
Nice weather for the time of year ......0 -
