  • Can anyone tell me just what sets there are and roughly how much. I have bought my kids main presents (I've done all my Xmas shopping) but each time I read this thread I am getting more and more tempted for my DS as it'll be much easier than a real hamster, LOL.

Went off and had a look at that toys store in the US someone here posted and it was $35 for Mr Squiggles. You can get that for £10 in Argos!! And I thought WE were being ripped off!!

These are R.R.P but on Ebay / Amazon market place they are selling for stupid money so i would avoid buying from EBay at all cost if you can. Places like Argos, Sainsburys, Toyrus, Character-Online are all selling ar or close to R.R.P:

Hamsters £9.99 each 4 to collect (Chunk, Num Nums, Mr.Squiggles, Pipsqueak)
    Playball £9.99
    Deluxe funhouse £19.99 - £24.99
Acessory sets (bed & blanket - carry bag / blanket) £4.99 each
    Car and garage £14.99
    Surfboard / sleep dome £9.99
    Skate board / UTurn £9.99
    Wheel / tunnel £14.99

  • The hamsters are also available here
    http://www.lambstoys.co.uk/acatalog/Go_Go_Pets.html
but nothing else is in stock.
  • My local Toys R Us has tons of Hamsters, nothing else though.

My local Sainsburys is getting a delivery of the beds/bags today so will be going in later to see if they are out yet.

Just been in the Toys r US at Derby, they have all 4 types of hamster, the surfboard and the car/garage. The SA said they are getting more stock in almost daily. Hope this helps someone.
  • There are some different colour beds and carriers in stock here

    Well supposedly in stock anyway.
    Recorded delivery is £3.95
  • Everyone who purchased from Character_online on Thursday should check their bank accounts!

I tried to put a order thru when their website was playing up Thur afternoon. First i tried to place a order for £49.98. But the website crashed again as i was making payment. No order was created or email received so i started another order but by this time the deluxe funhouse was out of stock so the order was £29.94.

This order showed up as a order in my account on their website and i believe i got email confirmation too.

The £29.94 order arrived saturday morning no probs.

I have just checked my online bank account and the £49.98 order money has been taken fully as well as the £29.94. I checked my emails and in my account on their website but no order was ever made just the money taken!

I have phoned them and they are looking into it but thought i would advise you all just incase you got debited money twice too.

It is probably just because their website kept crashing and sheer volume of orders being made at the time and as long as i get my cash back i would happily use them again.

Hi, this happened to me too, not checked the bank though cos I put it on CC, has it actually debited your account or just earmarked the funds? When I worked in a bank sometimes the authority is given for a transaction but when not claimed by the seller it drops off.

I'd best get my hubby to check, I did email character and they said only one order had generated but thats not to say the marker didnt go on card as the protx thingy had come up for password details, thanks for letting us know.

It has actually been taken not just earmarked. It has shown up on my account as a card purchase and i have confirmed with the bank just incase. They gave me the transaction ref no too.

I am sure charcater-online will sort it (i hope) but felt should warn others as i know a few of us were trying to get orders thru at same time Thursday and not everyone checks their banks / cc often...

Have just rung hubby and asked him to check his statement, I bet we got charged as I had put the password in on the bank authority screen and clicked then it crashed, I am sure they will be fine, they were totally aware there were problems, I was emailing the man who sent the in stock email and he was replying straight back and told me there was a problem, i'm not even sure it was all of us on the site I think they did have problems as there was a message on their site about maintenance that morning. I'll report back when I know.
