Oh another thing - gosh I'm gonna be late for work again - told them last time I had to make the appointment later cos I had a 'pet emergency'..:rotfl:
Anyway, last night a person posted admitting to being an ebay trader, very honest, and that person was directed to the ebay site a member has set up for people to swap or sell their spare items (at RRP). Had a look at this traders website this morning and although they are starting their hamsters at 99p, they are also selling them on a buy it now for £25.99. Hence the moral of the story is, be careful who you are selling your items to at the RRP, because they could be then selling them on themselves at a much higher price - and you may as well do that yourself and at least get some small profit to pay for your trouble...:snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:0 -
Well so much for the array of hamsters in wilkinsons, i have just spoken to them and they have told me that the only store to have stock is luton and they had 3 when i spoke to them!! Way too far for me.
Is it just charcter that we know of that should be getting some today?
I am so fed up of this hamster life!!!!!!0 -
Read back thru todays posts - can't keep repeating myself...
I would suggest that all regular posters give this reply to people who post asking for info today as we'll spend so much time repeating ourselves, we'll miss out if anything comes up - if they want the info, let them look back for it...:snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:0 -

In fairness she hasn't applied to come into the group. I have set the group as private and each person that applies I vet and so far no one selling as a business has applied.
The group is set up that people put what they have as spares that they want to sell or swap for particular items and the idea is that they message each other privately so it is up to the individual whether to accept the buyer/seller. I've asked that no one makes a profit although it was pointed out that there are packaging costs to take into account, so people are going to use their discretion and honesty when trading.
There is also a lot of offers from people stating the area they are in that they will look out for items and then post at cost price to people within the group. It's rather a nice communitiy spirit with the idea that none of us in the group want to pay the inflated prices and also that we are looking out for items that we may not need but would be of interest to others if we buy them and post them on.
A kind of Hamster Coalition against paying high prices!Went to the paper shop - it had blown away.0 -

Yes and that is admirable but I still think some people are a little naive in their quest to help others and at least if they know that 'some' people could be buying at RRP to sell on at a higher price, then they can make an informed decision as to whether to sell or not.:snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:0 -

The ebayer in question was Rose that maximouse is referring to. She said she was a trader and in fairness she does start her auctions at a low price and it is up to the buyer then what they want to bid up to. She does have a high buy it now price but again once there is a bid the buy it now price will disappear.
I did point out that if she is a business she should be registered as a business on ebay because there are different rules for businesses, one of them being that you have to display your address and phone number.Went to the paper shop - it had blown away.0
