Who has been able to get stock from Argos - nobody I know and probably owing to greed as shown in Porth Talbot

I have, but after hours on their site. Hence the reason I found those other codes!!

That does make sense nilsr BUT by deliberately reserving the codes it means that the items become scarce in store so people then sell what they do have at inflated prices on ebay and sell the codes.

If people just acted fairly and didn't try to squeeze a penny out of every opportunity that comes their way then the rest of the community wouldn't suffer and be in the position where they feel they have to give in to others greed.

totally agree, i think it is totally unfair, and ebay need to do something about it. hopefully in the next couple of weeks there will be enough stock for everyone. hopefully the code wont get sold on ebay then it will have cost them money to list .
  • But then genuine people couldn't reserve the hamster items
Apparently lots of people on here have managed to get hamster stuff from mser's being kind and doing this

My own opinion is that it's down to ebay to remove the listing - I don't see why a greedy few should spoil it for the rest of us by Argos cancelling reservations on hamster stuff.

I agree, to remove the reservation facility would be bad for everyone.

Just so you know I have spoken to a toy store today and she advised they were getting stock on friday but at this stage she doesn't know what. She said they have a load on order but won't know whats actually coming till it arrives, she also doesn't know exactly when on friday but she did say its most likely to be accessories/play sets rather than the hamsters although they have a huge amt of those on order too.

This being said it could mean that character are due a whole bunch of stuff in earlier in the week as (from what i can gather back reading the posts) they get stock first before shipping out to the stores.

Ebay have done something about it - they banned the selling of intangible goods last year. Unfortunately though Ebay do not police the site - they rely on members to do it. Why they can't sort out an automatic programme to ban such listings I don't know.

I agree with you. But that would mean them banning listings with Argos or Reservation in it. I can't see any other way!!
