Re the bed and blanket sets - they are just that really - I'm not sure what you mean by are they any good?
hi there
sorry i ment does anyone have them an do they think they are worth the money if i can get them obviously lol
an thanks for the carpet info!
i aint too sure if anyone on here is from cornwall but if so i have just phoned the truro branch of sainsburys an they said they have full stock of the hamsters! but nothing esle at the moment!0 -
Found out how they stock the shelves at Asda - they get big, mixed pallets delivered and get them out when they can - they might have hamsters next to Transformers. They just unpack the trolleys in order, so you might get 2 hamsters on the shelves first thing, and a load more later in the day. Don't expect that all the hamsters will appear at once on delivery day.
actually their depot picks the stuff by article/category, so more than likely, all the stuff will go out at once.0 -
What can Argos actually do themselves? They don't know what specific codes are being offered.
Speaking of Argos reservations - my sister just text to say she has reserved some hamster's she needs for one of her friends at my local Lyons Farm store so I am picking them up for her tonight - we would have post to say they were available but the 5 left went out while she was completing her reservation
Argos are still obviously getting dribs and drabs down here in the South East so I will keep a look out0 -
oh !!!!!! im in devon and truros to far to go for me humf lol0

I think the beds and blankets are really sweet but I personally would not pay over the rrp £4.99. Someone posted that the carriers are not that great for actually carrrying the hamsters in - they fall out. Asda have some cute little pet carriers with a little kitten in £3.49 which would be a great alternative.0

Not was I was told - the trolleys are filled with 'toys', 'clothes' etc, and they go out as they're loaded.
Guess they must have different methods at different stores.0 -

The Bed sets are quite nice imo; they don't seem cheaply made, the rrp price £4.99 seems alright for what you get. The Carrier sets don't have great reviews as the carrier is quite thin, and reported "as small so hamsters could fall out" - which imo isn't true; they were made so the hamsters' head sticks out the carrier on purpose - to make it look cute, my kids' haven't had any problems with hamsters falling out of the carrier, there is an extra piece of fabric which covers the hamster's bum to make sure they don't fall out the other side. Personally I'd recommend getting them if you find them at RRP.0 -
Any update on the play.com situation? I order a few "in stock" items (delivery 1-2 days) and the order taken bit changed to awaiting stock.
After 1 week, still shows awaiting stock with no update.
Anyone else had this?0 -

I have the beds and blankets and they are ok - also have a lilac carrier for my niece (which is very similar to the bed but with handles on!)
To be honest I think they look as though they are the most well made of the hamster accessories although they don't actually do anything other than be a bed/carrier for the hamster
It has been mentioned on this thread before but the hamsters and the accessories are actually not that well made/robust and can't see them lasting that long especially with younger kids.
So in fact in my opinion we are all going crazy trying to buy rather faddy rubbish toys!:D

Hi, new to this thread (and posting on here) but just thought I'd add this. I saw this coming and stocked up on everything (bar 2 of the set 4 of hamsters) about 4 weeks ago one night in Toys r Us.
I went again yesterday to help out a friend who is desperate to get hold of the Adventure Playball. No luck as they were completely sold out, however, the chap I spoke to in the store said they are getting deliveries of the Hamsters (at least) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning. They are expecting queues to form before opening and are limiting purchases to 1 per customer (of any Go Go item). This was at the Watford store, so I assume it will be the same Nationwide.
I think that that's going to be the same for various stores, so if you have pre-orders you may get lucky. Character Online are saying stock is due around 20th November, and they seem to be up to the minute as the main UK supplier.
I hope this helps everyone, if only a little bit.0
