I was meaning the folk who are bulk buying with the sole purpose of exploiting those of us who are buying genuinely for our kids so they can make extra money! But by doing so are taking all the stock we are trying to get!

Well House of Sher have took the money out of my account even though i had an email to say i had been refunded so will checking bank closely now! :mad:

Hi Maxi, thank you, I know how to cancel them but my question is, should I?

The two that originally said were in stock I have now been emailed and told they don't know when they are coming in.

The two today appeared as being in stock and therefore my concern is that the second order may be processed before the first order or vice versa?

Oh gawd, I know what I mean, I just not explaining myself very well!

Your further comment regarding multiple orders has got me thinking now and I would appreciate your kind advice.

I originally ordered two chunks on 10th Nov when they were showing in stock. The status on my order said Order Taken until today when it has changed to Awaiting Stock.

I phoned up play.com yesterday and was told that it would be 28 days before they were due in and I would DEFINATELY (her words) get them despatched then.

I then received an email at tea time yesterday saying they are out of stock and will update me when they can.

Today I read this thread and someone said that play.com had chunk back in stock so I went back to the site and it clearly stated in stock so I ordered two more chunks after looking at my original order where it just says awaiting stock.

I now feel guilty if I have placed two more in the queue? If I got four, I have the original two to give to my children, one to friends daughter and the other one I would sell to one of my friends (without making a profit).

I originally only planned to buy two.

Not much I can say .. Phone them and ask for accurate status ... and ask them to delete the second order if the first one is being fulfilled.

It seems odd that Play have been listing again today when orders taken on the 10th still say awaiting stock. If I were you I'd hang on a while to both orders until you get one or other order showing as packing - you can then easily cancel the other order.

Well, as you don't pay till dispatch, just keep them on the list and you can cancel at any time. You are not depriving anyone of a hamster as they are NOT in stock and you're just on the list for when they eventually do come back in - along with probably hundreds of others. I think too many people are being made to feel guilty about things on this forum - everyone has equal chance of buying something when it becomes available, its just a case of being in the right place at the right time and its up to each individual to decide what to do with what they have purchased.

Phoning them is probably a waste of time, you only get someone in the call centre who doesnt have any more information than you can see by looking at your account status.

i would also like to thank all those of you that have put posts up about stock being in and available without you my daughter would be very sad this christmas hopefully the 3 hamsters from amazon will be with us shortly and what with the 2 houses we already have should make a nice set for her to play with although saying that id like to try and find some accessories like the car or skateboard thingy or even the ball

anyone in the devon area know of any in stock in shops at all ? many thanks in advance

Guys I need two hamsters for two daughters who have asked Santa for them, is there any stock anywhere? I'm not in a position to pay over the odds on ebay, is there any rumours of stock coming? I am at my wits end, phoning every store I can think of.

How come some people have been lucky online?
