Just bought a Chunk from heroesforkids.co.uk Paid normal rrp plus £3 ish for postage. So annoyed with myself cos I could've got one from Argos or Asda on Friday but I did have him on order from a website (toys-2U) who subsequently let me down. BTW a Chunk sold on ebay last night for £18 plus postage!! I now have all four hamsters and they will just have to hot bed the two beds I have got, unless I happen to see 2 more beds for normal prices.

:T Wilkinsons main warehouse is getting a large stock of hamsters in on 16/11 which will be distributed to the shops from 17/11. No other hamster related items were mentioned.

Makes sense. Character are getting only a Hamster delivery tomorrow and will then be distributing to the retail chain.

The Hamsters should come into stock on many familiar sites provided that they placed orders with Character.

I would expect Toys R Us to get them too as they predicted that they would be big sellers (didn't bother to put them in their catalogue); I would expect them to have an order in place.
  • OMG I just did an ebay search out of curiosity on Chunk and one sold last night for get this - £26 plus £2.75 postage!!   Good for little Chunky he was always the one left on the shelf :D

Yes a bit like the elmo toy and a few days before xmas everywhere had loads!

My friend's dd got some of it for her birthday in oct, they have the wheel and it works fine. She's got the ball for xmas so I don't know how good it is. My only worry is when I watch them on youtube all the ones on carpet seem to get stuck in the tubes, i guess not being on flat surface makes the joins not sit well. I don't really have the space in my kitchen for it, so I'm hoping my carpet pile is short enough to cope. If not I'll be sending DH down wickes for a big piece of board or stick the kids and the go go set in the garage :rotfl:

That's a good idea if they don't work well on the carpet - DS has lots of boards already (for his Lego)

I have laminate in the entrance/ hall so was planning to set up the hamster abode there

but what fun are the hamsters without the extras, i can see kids getting bored with them pretty quick. does not make good sense to have hundreds of hamsters on shelves but no accessories.

    Blimey!

I have ordered a Chunk from Wilkinson (ordered on Saturday over the phone) but not terribly confident as stock was showing as 6 in stock online before I placed the order and for a good few hours afterwards!

Expecting an email to say that he is out of stock but worth a go - I already have Pipsqueak and Squiggles but DD would like the 'white one' so if I get him I will give Pipsqueak to my nephew.
  • Hi Everyone,

I've bought Num Nums for my dd from Hooray for Toys. Ordered it at 7am yesterday, and they've since run out of stock.

Saw Pipsqueak sitting all alone in Sainsbury's. Thought about buying him (can't quite remember if Pip is a he or she!), but they were asking £15 - so dd will have to just have one hamster.
I'd like to get the funhouse, wheel and ball perhaps, but I'll have to see what's around. I'm not paying crazy prices (Amazon prices are currently pretty ridiculous IMO).
    Happy hunting everyone! x

  • Amazon are currently showing Num Nums from Carousel Shop for £32.99. Ridiculous!

Better a hamster than nothing at all - kids often get money from relatives who dont know what to get them - they can spend it on the add-ons after Christmas when the fuss has died down and there is plenty of stock.
