I have nothing to be bitter about - remember I was talking about Christmas spirit ! So much for that - I have the right to state my opinions. It is incredulous the amount some of you spend thats all. I can't see how giving them everything they ask for makes them grateful. Oh and I am only referring to a few not to the majority.

i think the majority of the parents who put this much effort into this because they feel their children deserve it. there is nothing wrong with it at all.

Well you have no right to be referring to one let alone a few. You do not know anybody's situation on here and have no right to presume. If i choose to buy the whole of Toys R Us for my kids then that is MY CHOICE - and i don't expect someone to try to make me feel bad about it - or to insinuate (like you did) that that would mean my kids are not bought up properly or have no values.

Iwantone- If your suggesting that we bring our kids up the way your parents obviously brought yourself up, then no thanks, my child WILL NOT be so rude as to come on to a forum full of people they dont know and say they are not teaching they're children right and wrong about ANYTHING whether it be christmas spirit or mannerism of any other kind

maybe go check your own christmas spirit or lack of (goodwill to all men and all that) before preaching to anyone

    seriously some people

You have the right to an opinion and thank goodness we have the right to respond as I feel your opinion is frankly unhelpful and unsubstantiated. You have no idea how much people are spending on their kids- and frankly this would have absolutely nothing to do with you anyway. You have no idea what these kids have been told re. xmas and what they're getting from their lists and what they may not be getting. You make assumptions which are not based on any form of fact. Each individual on this forum has the right to raise their kids in the manner they see fit. Just because they may be fortunate enough to provide their kids with a lot of presents this year does not mean that their kids will be any less grateful.

As for xmas spirit I find you attitude a bit Bah Humbug
Please remember to thank fellow MSE'rs

  • Not sure if you know but apparently (according to my father as i have not actually seen the toy yet!) there is also a pet carrier in with the Spanish box, so thats the new hamster, slide and wheel and half the house included and a carrier. I was not aware of this and was about to go on the hunt for another one for the new pet!
