I am gutted because I genuinely thought I was ready for xmas.... I have been on this thread a fair bit already though because my kids didn't want these (or so I thought!), but I wanted to help others get some, so have posted recent availability in Argos etc when I have spotted it.

The worst of all this is.... about three weeks ago I actually had in my hand two hamsters and a car in an Argos near me, and had a chat with the SA about them.

I decided against buying them because I remembered this thread and thought I should leave them for someone whose kids had actually asked for them, rather than me just buying them as an extra gift.

I went back into the same Argos today to ask if they would be getting stock, and it was the same SA who remembered me and thought it was hilarious that I didnt buy them when I had them. I haven't found it quite so funny obviously.
    cuople of tips
    1. Set up the stock checker zhuzhuhamster.co.uk and set the audible alarm.
    2. Make sure you are logged into any site that is due to get stock in so you dont have to register when you get stock in your basket
    3. watch out on here for people offering reservations codes in your area. If they do pm them as quick as you can.

    good luck.

Oh yours gave you a really easy list then

My 7 yr old just wanted lego lego and more lego (mainly agents, space police, bionicle, miners and the odd bit of city), Ds games and Wii Games - oh and then the hamster once he saw it a few weeks back.

My 3.5yr old wanted as his main presents: A Robot, A Lion, A T-Rex - END OF!!! I have got him A Wowwee robot, a Wowwee Alive Lion and a remote control T-Rex quite easily!!! Plus he now wants these hamsters too - luckily for him and his brother i have had the time from work to sit on here all day!!! :rotfl:
Wow! Have you been priming your children? Thats not a bad list to work with. Want to swop children?:D

by the way if anyone is starting their hammy hunt try looking for CHUCK on ebay instead of CHUNK - he's a lot cheaper :)

Dont do it if you have 6/7yr old boys ....put google down and step away from the search.....
Failing that 98£ should do it on Amazon....:D Pick yourself up some Spongebob lego whilst you are at it.....:rotfl::rotfl:

Nope, just a 6 year old girl, but I do have a husband who could easily find his 7 year old state of mind!!!! :rotfl:

Right.. I am logging off to go to a school parents evening, and then home via another couple of Argos's and a Toys r us (a 10 - 15 mile hamster hunt diversion obviously...)

Will be back on here later, and reckon I will living on this thread till xmas eve now.

Catch you all later. Good Hamster hunting to you all.
    Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once. :D
