As posted several hundred pages back, I have been doing battle with TRU about reserving monies in my paypal account when they had not actually accepted an order from me. I've been gradually clawing my way up the ladder, stressing the legality and the point of principal of what they are doing. I hadn't heard anything since the weekend and did a "get back to me or give me the contact details of someone who does have authority" type letter. Still haven't heard, but my funds have been released today. If you were in the same position please can you check. If they've just done it to shut me up then I will keep going, having got this far, and actually try to get them to change their system and release all funds not held pending an actual order.
I can't keep up with the number of posts so please pm me if your monies haven't been released

im back from my hamster hunt and screacher hunt.......im now in possesion of pip squeek and the play house that i reserved last night, i got the hamster half price...bargain, still no dino for my son though!! SO 3 HAMSTERS DINO and accessorys left, will this ever end....!!!!

I am gutted because I genuinely thought I was ready for xmas.... I have been on this thread a fair bit already though because my kids didn't want these (or so I thought!), but I wanted to help others get some, so have posted recent availability in Argos etc when I have spotted it.

The worst of all this is.... about three weeks ago I actually had in my hand two hamsters and a car in an Argos near me, and had a chat with the SA about them.

I decided against buying them because I remembered this thread and thought I should leave them for someone whose kids had actually asked for them, rather than me just buying them as an extra gift.

I went back into the same Argos today to ask if they would be getting stock, and it was the same SA who remembered me and thought it was hilarious that I didnt buy them when I had them. I haven't found it quite so funny obviously. :mad:

Oh yours gave you a really easy list then

My 7 yr old just wanted lego lego and more lego (mainly agents, space police, bionicle, miners and the odd bit of city), Ds games and Wii Games - oh and then the hamster once he saw it a few weeks back.

My 3.5yr old wanted as his main presents: A Robot, A Lion, A T-Rex - END OF!!! I have got him A Wowwee robot, a Wowwee Alive Lion and a remote control T-Rex quite easily!!! Plus he now wants these hamsters too - luckily for him and his brother i have had the time from work to sit on here all day!!! :rotfl:
